Stock is pretty rust-resistant for a few years or whatever and has some engineering behind it or something.

yeah stock is good, its been that way for years, muffler just getting rusty and want some sound behind it now, thinking Mangnaflow cat back, that seems to have good reviews

I had an 18" MF installed a couple years ago; one-inlet, two-outlet as I have twin tailpipes I could only stand it ONE day. Set off car alarms and literally caused my gal to have a headache. Went back to shop the next morning and had them re-install my stock muffler. That MF has been hung up in my garage since looking pretty.
OP, you wanted opinions, here's mine: STOCK is best for the 3.4 anyway. Because honestly, as great a motor as it is, sound is not one of its attributes.

Just depends on what sound you want out of it. I’m happy with my flowmaster super 44 with 3” out. It’s loud but it’s a low growl. I think flowmaster and magnaflow are probably the most popular for tacoma owners.

I've been thinking about a new exhaust since I put a hole in the muffler 6 years ago. No leaks (other than the afore said hole), no issues. No hurry. But, one day I'll get there.

I have headers and a 16" Raptor turbo muffler turned down before the rear axle

Sounds pretty good for a V6. Have even received a few complements

OEM. I like to drive in piece and quiet with my truck. And Not listen to some ridiculous droning exhaust that adds zero performance benefits.

It’s has a nice rumble. Not loud. Doesn’t drone. My only gripe it wasn’t cheap..
