I current own a 2019 TRD Sport Tacoma crew cab (3rd gen). Before this one I had a 2002 SR5 TRD Tacoma extended cab (1st gen). Before that one, a 2000 plan Jane Tacoma (crank windows) (1st gen).

But my 1st one was a 1988 Toyota. I guess I always assumed it was a Tacoma ... but I guess it was the days pre Tacoma. What were they called back in the late ‘80s?

Great truck. Had get out of the truck to lock the front hubs for 4 wheel drive though.

For Toyota full size, ya. Then ford sued, now we call it Tundra.

Toyota counter sued for Lincoln using "LS"

If I’m not mistaken ... the T100 morphed into the Tundra.

My coworker has a t100, it looks like a squared first gen Tacoma. It was also considered a full size back then as well. Idk, things change so much. Our Tacomas now would be beyond full size 30 years ago.

To clarify, Ford did not sure regarding the T-100. They sued when Toyota was bringing a bigger replacement for the T-100 they were going to call the T-150. Hence the Tundra name was born.

I heard Ford is bringing another lawsuit against Toyota. This time for infringing on Ford's patented rust away technology.

You are not kidding about the size of the new Tacoma’s. That is one of the first things I noticed over my new one compared to my last three. It is a lot more truck from the previous versions for sure.
