I would like to stay away from buying a trailer. I measure 42.5" between wheel-wells on my 2016 TRD OR Access cab.

I know Honda Foreman and Rancher will sneak in.:fingerscrossed:

    I think Yamaha Grizzly ?

Anyone know for sure what else?

    Thanks.

Foreman and Rancher are hard to beat for a utility ATV.

That being said..... I prefer a small utility trailer. Easier to load and unload. Once unloaded, I can hook the trailer up to the ATV to pull stuff throughout the property. It also comes in handy when the little 5ft bed isn't long enough.

    Thanks...

Hadn't consider pulling the trailer with the ATV. Nice idea.! I may end up getting a small trailer, but will be interested in hearing if others were successful in finding Tacoma sized ATV's.
Also considered making a platform with small ramp over the wheel-wells. (but would rather not)..

    Something like this, but lower
    (probably a Taco world member)..

That looks unsafe to me. Hope it's tied down.

As far as pulling the trailer with the ATV, we have some wooden stands and chairs in different spots throughout our deer lease. We move them around from time to time, but they aren't easy to load up on a ATV. That trailer makes short work of it.

I tried my kawasaki 360 just to see if it would fit as a last resort and it did. Front tires are "squeezed" a little by the wheel wells but I have a short bed and my back tire are on the tailgate and that makes me nervous relying on the tailgate cables to hold it up

Thanks so much for trying it. I appreciate it.:)
Your right I would not trust the tailgate. It will hold, but bumping up and down on rough roads might cause failure..
I have a 6' bed, but am more and more leaning to a light trailer..

    Nice rig.
Yep, I've decided the trailer is the way to go.
    Thanks all.

Be careful of using a ramp on your tailgate:

That's a nice trailer. Mine is just a cheapie from Lowes..... I think 8X4' and cost was about $700.

Hey! That's me! For the record, it was an experiment to see what it would take to get the tailgate up. I never drove it like that. But that being said, that is a Polaris Sportsman 500 and it fits in the bed with the tailgate down. I think most standard atvs will as long as you don't have crazy oversized tires. What happens is when you pull it in the front wheels actually squeeze together a bit to fit between the wheel wells and bed walls.

Yea, mine was a lot more. But you can expect to pay more for a 7'x12' with two bi-fold ramps and spare. Diamond C makes excellent trailers and the 2PSA I have is great for hauling up to three ATV's or other combinations of toys. Mine was $2100 with tax, title, etc.

I also recommend the trailer route for atvs. I started with a 4x8, then went 5x8, then 8x10, 8x12, and finally settled with a 6x10 aluminum. Aluminum is the way to go.
