2015 DBL Cab LB 4x4 V6. Wondering what the recommendation is on replacing coolant and the right type. I've looked on line for Toyota Super Long Life Coolant but it seems to come in multiple colors. The coolant in my overflow is redish/pink in color. Anybody know whether any Super Long Life color will do? Thx AJ

Don't put that red shit back in it. It will destroy the motor. My dad had it in our 95 blazer years ago and it literally blocked the coolant veins in the motor. $1200 bill from the mechanic for redoing the coolant system. Just put good old green antifreeze. Buy it straight and mix with water 50/50, pre mixed is a waste of money.

That was a common issue on S10s with Del-Cool antifreeze. The strange thing is it wasn't common on other GM vehicles.:notsure:

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.

There is nothing wrong with the pink. You can mix the pink with this...

I've had it mixed for over two years now without issue. Make sure it is "Long Life"

 Orange GM Dex-Cool is NOT the same as Toyota Red. Green is generally not recommended for Asian vehicles either.

How many miles do you have? The owners manual says 100K for the first change.

I don't think the Toyota red coolant is recommended for newer models, just the pink coolant. You can get it at the service dept.

I would also echo the above poster, why are you already doing a coolant flush on a 2015?

My 1994 Corolla had green coolant, my 1998 Corolla had red coolant, my 2008 and 2014 Tacomas came with pink. I don't know if that helps, but it kind of shows the timeline where Toyota went from normal coolant to long life coolant to super long life coolant.

Pink is pre-mixed, red is not.

To mix with other cooalants, you have to make sure the chemicals are compatible.

Thx guy's. I didn't realize the replacement interval is 100K miles. I'm at 2 yrs/23K miles so I'll let it go.

Just be sure if you use the concentrate, to only add distilled water to it. Regular tap or mineral water will cause premature coolant system wear and will clog the radiator and heater core.
