To make a long story short. OME upper control arms are less than a year old and already fell apart . When mounted the control arms slides back and forth . ARB/OME have not reached back out to me after numinous emails . At a lost end on what to do .

Have you tried contacting the shop where you purchased them from? maybe they can offer some help.

Call them on the phone. In my experience calling companies gets more results than emails.

Was the thru bolt torqued while the suspension was drooped or at ride height, wheels on the ground?

I had the same problem when I installed.. my mechanic called OME and they said they sent out out of spec bushings!! What! No reason why or why they didn’t recall those or put a dam note in the box or nothing. I asked for a replacement bushing …. And the finally just ignored my emails. The bushings are too long.. they told my mechanic to mill it down like an 1/8 inch.. totally unimpressed and won’t buy again!! I’m looking for a new set of bushings now as I’m starting to get play and clunking.. again! Hope that helps !

Same issue. Talked to 3 different guys at arb that knew nothing about a bushing size change.

I'm considering buying these UCAs. Wondering how one can verify correct bushing size is installed before ordering since it seems the wrong bushing sizes have been an issue recently? And do we know what IS the correct size? And what the wrong size is that's been shipped?

    Thanks,

    Jay

Let me know if you find out. Still haven't gotten to tearing them apart. A few emails back and forth with arb with no definite solution. They don't have the bushings in stock. The arb guys I talked to said there was never an issue with the wrong sized sleeves.

I would not recommend these. i have called, emailed, left voicemails, sent videos. there is not a person there that has been able to help. showed them the video of the control arm moving back and forth, they said it cant be the bushing and blamed it on install. the next sentence was bushings arent covered under warranty after 1 year. oh, and btw they dont have any in stock.

there is one bolt, two washers, and a nut that hold the control arm on, you can see it in the video, what can you possibly screw up? no response back, crickets!

I think, based on recent experiences, ARB/OME seems to have attempted to rapidly expand its NA market over the past several years (I think they’ve done it, in no small part, to cash in on the ‘overland’ trend) at the same time, they have tried to introduce a number of new product designs. Couple this with the past several years of ‘supply chain’ issues and the whole thing is a mess. They threw some glossy advertising at some snazzy new stuff you can has internetz, but didn’t put down a real foundation of parts, customer service, dealers, trained service centers, etc.

Personally, I think they cashed in on a name with some real brand loyalty and have ended up blowing it.

    Good luck getting some satisfaction.
