Living in the middle of the salt belt, I purchased the Ziebart protection package for my truck. (The underbody spray alone was worth the price). I went in for my annual re-spray a few weeks ago and all was well. That is until we had our first few morning frosts. Every square inch of my windows seem to be streaked with moisture. The moisture does not wipe off well and doesnt go away until after Ive driven for 10 minutes and the car is warmed up. I usually just roll the windows down and let the felts wipe off the standing moisture, but this has NO effect now. (Ive lived in the snow belt most of my life, the only other time Ive seen anything like this was with some cheap ass rain-ex imitation stuff that did the exact opposite of what it was supposed to do....but I blame it on me not applying it correctly)

With the moisture removed, if you look in the right light, it looks like the windows have been sprayed with some kind of sealer that dribbled all down the glass. (like they sprayed the entire car with sealant or wax, which is part of the package) Ive tried cleaning the windows with all the normal stuff, and today escalated to a SOS steel wool pad and then acetone. Am I the only one who's having this experience with paint/body protection sprays?

Id call and ask Ziebart...but the staff there was more interested in selling me a 300 dollar carpet shampoo than actually answering questions.

    And acetone...
Its the outside with the 'invisible film'. I just cant figure out what they are applying and how the hell to get it off or neutralize it. Have you ever gone to the self serve car wash and sprayed on their 'wax' product? See how it rolls down the windows? Now imagine its stays that way, but is only visible when damp with morning dew.

Isn't it like a wax or petroleum product? I'm sure it gets airborne when they're applying it to the truck.

    Plethora of "useless" shit
Try some 0000 steel wool with a vinegar and water mix. It works great for removing hard water spots, so may work well to remove that film.
