    He is serious. It works pretty well actually. And if you leave it on, it will shut off after a set amount of time. At least I think I read that somewhere.

    OP, were you in a second gen before this? I feel like many second gen owners wanted for this for years, with some doing mods with mirrors from other toyota models to retrofit. I feel like some were surprised to see this when they went from 2nd gen to third gen.

    On a different note, how many replies before the "read the manual" replies start popping up?

    And its surprisingly very useful on cold days when the mirror is fogged up or it melts the snow relatively quickly.

    I don't get why this is such a common question. It's literally a picture of a side mirror with the wavy arrows pointing up, the standard symbol used on defrosters.

    That's the frying pan electric heater start button. Use it to cook bacon and eggs. It's located on either side of your doors. Shinny to help absorb your butter or cooking oil which helps making it nonstick. Try it out!

    Kidding... Side mirror defroster. Shit works wonders!
