What size tires can I run without a lift

I have a 2018 Tacoma TRD Off Road and I want to buy new wheels and tires. I'm wondering what size tire I can run without a lift or any rubbing? On my 2006 Tacoma I had 265/70/17 TOYO Open County AT2 tires and had to remove my mudflaps and still had some minor rubbing on sharp turns.

I'd rather not do any trimming on my new truck, however I do want some new wheels and tires to replace my factory ones. Also if anyone has any suggestions on a good set of wheels that would look good on a metallic gray Tacoma with black inserts, feel free to suggest.

I apologize and I'll search next time. I did not mean to cause any trouble. I've had the 265/70/17 on my 06 Tacoma and had some minor rubbing so I figured I needed a different size to not have that rubbing but according to what you guys provided, it states no rubbing will occur with that size tire

OP, Welcome to TW! ... but best to search and read through millions and millions and millions of posts of best tire/wheel without lift. You just turned on the oven for nice morning roast. Don't take it personal.

If you're thinking about making a thread of what lift is best for you, best to also search that. Read through a bit, and pose any question you may have in the thread.

But don't let me tell you what to do.

For 17" rims that size is also the largest size you can fit on 3rd gen trucks. For 16" rims the largest size is 265/75/16 (which I'm running) and I had to remove my front mudflaps but now no rub. Which rims to buy is totally a personal choice, it's a matter of style, but I can say that if you go with a more positive backspacing it will give your truck a nice aggressive stance. Stock is -25 and anywhere from -12 to 0 offset gives it that nice wide stance.

Do you have a picture of your Tacoma with the size tires you're running? I just want to have a bigger tire, more aggressive look with that and wheels. I definitely want no rubbing because I had that on my old truck and it was aggravating, so I want to avoid it on my brand new truck.

Sure thing man, here's my '18 SR5 and it's on stock suspension, no rubbing (after front mudflap removal). My rims are 16x8 pro comp 32 series matte black and the tires are 265/75/16 toyo open country at2. I hope that helps, good luck.

Hi, so you went up one size to the 265/75/16, do you have the toyota mud guards, did you have any rubbing issues because of the mud guards?
