Rack and pinion is leaking and needs replaced
Will need tires by mid summer

Thought was to replace rack and pinion and while doing that do some PM on the other front end components

    What all would you replace?
    Upper and lower ball joints
Upper and lower control arm bushings
    Wheel bearings

Also possibly replacing CV boot(s) if they look like they need it. They look worn but not damaged, if that makes any sense

Truck has a rattle I have not been able to find when running over rough road. Cannot see any worn bushings (shock, spring, etc) or find anything loose

Truck has 297K, first owner installed Deaver J59's and Icon coilovers. I have not changed out any of the above listed parts

Planning to do this in next 3mo,just trying to get idea of what I need to plan on spending

Enough to make it a lot of fun!
I would replace your inner and outer tie rod ends

    4 run, 2 don't
    Good suggestion.

Add to that, steering rack bushings.

If applicable, sway bar bushings and end links (some people completely remove the sway bar).

If applicable, rebuild your manual hubs with new grease, o rings, and gaskets.

Depending on how long the coil overs have been on you might as well get them rebuilt too

When my rack and pinion was replaced, the steering rack bushings were replaced with polyurethane ones. It was well worth the $25 in bushings!

Spent the rainy afternoon yesterday looking up part numbers and prices.

It appears to me the OEM rack comes with inner tie rods attached.
Is that correct or do they just show a picture that makes it look that way?
Description/details did not specify if they are sold separate

    Thanks

I am doing this repair soon. I chose low range offroads kit as it has the bushings and things you need. I am also doing wheel bearing, tie rod ends and other stuff that has been beaten on for 200K miles. Might as well as I am in the front tearing it apart.
