Just got a 2003 Tacoma Double Cab V6 TRD 4x4 from the US. It's really in pretty great shape compared to some of the important vehicles here (SE Asia). I ran the VIN and the last report showed 140,000 miles in 2013. Then the title goes to salvage for front and rear damage. So, I'm guessing it could have around 200,000 actual miles, though my odometer only reads 100,000. :D

I have access to some parts in country, but I'm going to try to put together an order and have things shipped to me. I'd like to replace anything that would likely need to be replaced by now, as it's just hard to know without really opening things up a bit.

I've looked at several service schedule recommendations, including the one from Toyota (it only goes to 120k), but wanted to ask for help in compiling a recommended list knowing that I'll have to order everything, and then have my local mechanic help me do the work. Driving is rough here so I want to keep my truck in the best shape to avoid future problems.

Here are some things I'm thinking about, what would you recommend changing or adding to the list?

    Standard Stuff
    Oil & Filter
    ATM fluid
    Front Diff oil
    Transfer Case oil
    Coolant
    Brake fluid?
    Intake Filter
    Spark Plugs & Wires
    Fuel filter?

    Others
Front and Rear Suspension (I have another post about this as I'm looking for some detailed help)
    Timing belt? (And water pump)

Are there any other parts that would be worth ordering to have around for future service?

I'm going to run the list by my mechanic to see what's actually available here before I order. Let me know if I can provide more information that will help. I've used the search feature a lot, but sorry if I've missed something. Thanks for the help!

I paid around $15,000. There's an import tax of over 120% (fluctuates greatly), so vehicles here are incredibly expensive. This one had all original parts, with no major body work, frame repair, or rust. Shifts well and has lots of power! Would have never found it without my excellent local mechanic. I'm guessing it was purchased for maybe $5000-6000? Imported and repaired.

wow, amazing at the differences. It would have probably sold here repaired for around 10k-12k max, assuming a full service history

I check the VIN online and that last service record was for 67k miles :(. Was hoping for something newer. I noticed several part kits that cover the timing belt and then options for more: water pump, plugs, etc... Thought about one of these as it would cover a lot, and shipping would be easier.
