Good evening I just wanted to ask if anyone has ever heard of Durafit seats as I’m looking in taking out the aftermarket bucket seats in the Tacoma I just bought and putting in a factory bench seat as I like them more. If anyone can recommend where I can get a bench seat that’s oils fit my 2000 Tacoma that would be great I can link the seat I’m looking at if requested

Look for 95-04 Tacomas at your local salvage yards, you'll find a bench seat eventually although it may take a while to find a clean one.

I welded non Toyota seats from a GM car or truck. They are far more comfortable than my original ones.

I reused the riveted brackets so all I did was bolt down the brackets place the seat next to the other (original) for reference, tack, let cool and seam weld outside of the truck.

I lucked out as they were only $40 Craigslist find.

Wedge lists two fitments for 95-04 Tacoma seats: "Bench" and "60/40 Bench / Buckets". I think the "Bench" is for regular cabs and the "60/40 Bench / Buckets" is for extended and double cab?

If you can fabricate your only limited by what seats you can stuff in the cab

If anyone close wants Bucket seats you maybe could swap if they have a bench seat .

I can think of one reason for a bench seat I have not needed that since I left home

I looked at your link (Seats) but you didn't specify what seats you used, Let us know, I'm curious.

Not to hijack your thread, but I'd like to know if the Sequoia bucket seats are the same as the Tacoma bucket seats, or are they more padded and comfortable. Will they bolt right up without any modifications required.

    CrippledOldMan,

Not sure about what the seats came out of? I bought them off a guy through CL that had a body shop. He seemed to have a ton of GM stuff laying around.

so, I’m guessing, but reusing the OEM brackets means you have more options. They do sit a little higher, but the drivers seat cushion did squat down from my butt sitting on it for the last two years.

sorry that really doesn’t help ‍♂️
