Edit: I have never cupped a tire in my life lol I bought it like this

    I have 315/70/17s
2.75" of lift in front about 1.75 in back
    Load range e
    40k miles on OME lift

Will overinflating or underinflating help more?

I had an alignment a week ago and had them balanced a month ago but vibrations from cupping still exist.

    My assumptions are:
Overinflating will allow the tire to ride in the middle of the tread more and thus the cupping on the inside of the tire will cause less vibration, however road bumps will feel more stiff.

Underinflating will make bumps feel leas strong, but I may feel more of the cupping.

    I usually ride at 30-32psi
    Tread is 70%

Either your suspension is shot or your wheels are unbalanced. Fix those and replace your tires. There's no fixing a tire once it's cupped.

Also, remember tire pressure increases by about 3psi when warmed up.

Cupping isnt a huge issue. It happens. Just play with your pressure to find what feels best for you.

Personally, id underinflate so the contact patch is greater with hopes of evening the tread.

on your next set, just rotate more often

Yeah that sounds like a good idea, fronts are mild cup, rears are moderate with rear driver looking the worse

Cupped tires will only get worse. Inflation won't matter.

Junque the tires. Replace them. First, correct the suspension problems. Suggest to look at the Shocks first.

I suspect your cupping is due to overinflation and the weight of the tire.

    I assume it's an LT?

Your tire has so much volume, it attains a C rating of 2,535 lbs at 35 psi...your truck only needs enough psi to attain a 1,954 lb load rating. For comparison, I would need to inflate LT265/75/16s to 52 psi to attain the same load rating.
If I were to hazard a guess, 1,954 lbs load capacity on a LT315/70/17 happens somewhere around 25 psi. Although, industry standards do not recommend inflation below 35 for LTs.

Your suspension isn't keeping the tire weight under control.

Whoever said a cupped tire will only get worse and theres no fixing a cupped tire. Well your wrong.. if the suspension and/or wheel balancing has been fixed and the tire only is mildly cupped, it will wear back to normal before the treadlife is done.. also there are shops around that have tire shaving machines just for cupping.. is especially handy if you have big knobby mud tires on.. it just spins the tire and shaves them flat again.. most shops dont have the machines but there are some that do.. and im with the person who said under inflating the cupped tire aftet the necessary repairs are done to try and speed up the wear process trying to decup the tire.. now if you have shitty balding tires and they get cupped then yea theres no fixing those tires becsuse youd need tread to wear off to make things even again…
