After all the free oil changes.
Should I stay with Toyota oil ( Is it synthetic?) or could I use something like Mobil 1
    full synthetic.
    Thanks

Any 0w20 synthetic oil from any major brand with a new filter at the specified intervals and you will be fine

Toyota doesnt make oil. Whatever is in their bottles is from the low bidder to meet their specs.

Got lifetime oil changes with mine. So I'll forever go for the free oil!

Most reports from BITOG indicates TGMO is Mobil 1 synthetic.

But since you asked Redline 0W20 is the only true Ester based Group V synthetic that’s readily available (also Amsoil and Motul) if you want top shelf.

    Exactly.

Dealers just use bulk oil from a local distributor. Most oils are a synthetic blend now if not a full synthetic.

    Yeah that's what I read too. Toyota's 05w-20 is essentially Mobil 1.

Perfect response. I don’t think we can add to this.

The Toyota motor oil is synthetic. As said earlier, any 0w20 synthetic oil will be fine. I use Mobil 1.

Mobil 1, 0W-20. Same thing Honda recommends for my CR-V. And that is all my service department puts in Honda's.
