You think offset would be the same with 33x 12.50 x 17 tire ?

    Not sure about that.
He sold the truck and I bought the wheels.
Your in the same dilemma as me.
Im got my wheels and 3/2 lift now im researching tires. 265 70 17 or 285 70 17.

A stock Offroad wheel has a 5" backspace.
On a 9" wide wheel, you would need 0 offset to achieve the same backspace.
This would provide the least amount of tire poke at about 1.5", assuming you're using at 285/70/17 tire. A 285 is the minimum width tire you should be running on a 9" width wheel.
Keep in mind though, a 285 will move 1/2" closer to the suspension. If you moved the offset to -12mm, the tire will have the same suspension clearance as stock, but also increase tire poke to 2". If you plan on lifting, you'll need more inside clearance; meaning more negative offset, more tire poke and clearance issue on the cab mount.
    It's a cascading effect...

If you don't like a bunch of poke, I suggest considering an 8" width wheel instead. Even then, you might not avoid a lot of the same pitfalls I mentioned above.

If you like it, I love it. Personally, it's not my speed.
You'll definitely have to lift and do some clearance mods.

17"x9" ET-6 is 5.25" backspace; 1/4" close to the suspension. Mounting a 285 would put the tire 1/2" close to the suspension. When you lift, you lose inside clearance.

The rim will stick out 1.5" further than stock.
If you stick with 265s, the tire will stick out 1".
If you go to 285s, the tire will stick out 1.5".
This assumes you have a SR, SR5, Offroad or Sport

Here's a calculator you can compare with: Here is a link you can find your stock wheel specs(it doesn't list a Pro, it's a 16"x7" ET+13)

Hmm. Don't know the measurements on the left. Don't have a slot for back spacing. I am thinking of running 255/85/16. Skinny Tires and 2" lift.

You don't need to for the purpose of figuring out poke.

The backspacing is calculated on the graph when you enter the wheel specs. However, it is off by 1/2", because it is calculating rim width, instead of wheel width. Just add 1/2" to any backspace measurement it calculates for the true backspacing measurement.

Which wheel do you have now?

Stock OR wheels. Seen these on 2nd Gens. Thought the 3rd Gens are a little wider, body wise.

    Did one for you...
I pulled numbers out my ass for the column on the left; but for comparison's sake, it doesn't matter. You can measure and get those if you need to know.

Notice the graphed wheel on the left has a 4-1/2" backspace and one on the right has a backspace of 3-17/32"; like I said they're short 1/2". You can confirm this on the link you posted or any offset chart.

Here you can compare spec and clearance differences.
