Hello all, I received my Sprint Booster today and plan to make time to put it in before this coming weekend.

I’m not going to have a tremendous amount of time to tinker with it. So if you have this device in a 2.7 L Taco could you share with me your favorite settings and why?

I daily drive in heavy and high-speed toll road traffic. Being able to have fast pedal response is almost necessity for safe driving.

thanks in advance for any help you might offer. And thanks to all those that reached out with recommendations on buying this device I think I’m going to enjoy it.

And kudos to Ray Shelton at Pure Auto Parts for taking such good care of me on this purchase. Ordered one day received it the next, shipping was free of charge.

Outstanding customer service and site Pure Tacoma devoted solely to our beloved Tacos.

Sprint Booster installed with no issues whatsoever. Have just begun the testing. First, first Impressions. I can't believe that I am just now getting one of these things. It absolutely fixed everything I didn't like about my 2.7L Tacoma. It truly is like someone has added 100 HP to the pep-ability of my Taco. It's like getting a new truck REALLY!

No insult intended, but I couldn't imagine not appreciating what this little box does at least for a 4 banger. The description I read that came back to me upon my first test drive was, it made my truck come alive! This is a true statement. After a mile or two of testing it out, I actually had a moment of anger at Toyota for withholding my truck's capability to behave this way with their factory programming.

So far I have progressed to Sport #5 in my testing. I am teetering between liking #4 better but I plan on at least seeing what each setting will offer. But frankly, if all it could do was #4 and #5 I would give it 5 out of 5 stars in any context.

For anyone in or near central Texas check out Ray Shelton at Pure Auto Parts. I ordered my Sprint Booster at like midday and it was in my box the next. He is a parts provider with a unique approach to his web store. As I understand it each site caters to a specific Truck or vehicle. This in actual practice is easy to get used to. As if it is in the store it is for a Tacoma, or Tundra, etc... The point is, it's worth checking out, solid guy who is working hard.

Thanks to those who chimed in with helpful info, I can easily say this is the best thing that I have done to my truck and your help is appreciated.

    Many Thanks, Elliott

Sport 4 works the best for me in my 2.7 liter 5 speed combo . Anything higher and the pedal is too sensitive...the engine starts racing before I get the clutch out! Once I settled on Sport 4, I disconnected the controller and tossed it in the glove box. The unit retains it last setting when unplugged

I use the 'green' at 7. I bumped it all over the place when I got it but found it too jumpy in the 'red'. I drive a fair amount in fields often wet, I turn it off completely until I am back on pavement. You will enjoy that 4 cyl a lot more with the Sprint Booster.
