I currently have 265/75/16 Summit A/T. I wanted to see if level lift is good or sus lift.

    Thanks!

    Yeah.
I'm not clear on the question, but those tires should be fine without any lift (I ran the same size on stock suspension).

Lots of options on lift types. The best one is the one that fits your needs (what you are trying to accomplish) and your budget.

    Welcome to TW.

I was looking to do a level lift even out the truck.

You know the rake is engineered in for function, right?

No hauling or towing in your future?

Experiment. Put a couple hundred lbs over the rear axle. I bet it sits close to level. And you might like the ride change too

Sounds like Bilstein 5100s in the front and reuse your coil springs would work for you. You can adjust ride height easily with them.

By level lift you mean pucks aka spacers?
Yeah that’s a sus lift. Gonna ride like harsh and put your front suspension at a more stressful geometry.

my advice would be keep doing research on this forum until you can make an informed decision. The above post about billy 5100’s is a good route

    Yeah.
Yeah, Tacomabeast isn't a popular TW choice and is not a listed vendor here. For reasons.

Check the vendors listed here on TW. They are all solid choices, and if they prove not to be, they are severely violated by the TW community and de-listed.

As Clearwater Bill mentioned, experiment a bit without spending too much. You still have not been super clear about your intentions other than leveling it, and appears you want to stick to a small budget. Here are my recommendations for leveling, and some additional ones for added lift front to back (note that none include spacer blocks).

    1. Add some weight to the bed as mentioned. It will ride better and level it out some. Nearly free depending on what you choose to put in the bed. If that is not what you are looking for . . .

    2. Bilstein 5100's front coilovers with stock springs set on one clip up from stock (0.85" I think). Any more than that and you may get a rough ride unless you have added weight to the front. If that doesn't do it for you . . .

    3. Now you get into more $, some decisions to be made, and many options out there. Kits with an add-a-leaf and full front coilover replacement that stick to 2" of lift or under and don't require a new UCA are the next economical choice that still maintains performance.

Beyond that gets pricey, especially if you don't do the work yourself. Full leaf packs, UCA's, and complete coilover/shock replacement are next, which sometimes leads to needing an ECGS bushing on the front diff and figuring out your driveline angles to eliminate vibration. Requires $ and patience.

Or, if all you care about is the look of a lift and just occasionally drive on a gravel road, just throw in some spacers and blocks and be done with it.

If you just want to level and are not off-roading then a spacer lift is fine. It WILL NOT change ride quality. Yes, it is not the best, but a 2" max front lift is fine. I've ran one for years without ANY issues, and they are the cheapest - about $50 on Amazon. Don't spend more - they are all the same. When I bought my current Tacoma I spent a little more and went with Bilstein 5100's. Better lift and more $$. By the way, I don't ever off-road so my ride quality comment is the way I use MY truck. I went with the top setting on the shock which gives 2" of lift and used a 1.5" block (yes a block - oh my) on the rear. The stance (in my opinion) is perfect.
