I need some guidance, I just did an OOPS.
What kind of fuel line is this, and where do I get the proper tools to remove them? I just destroyed two O rings, and there's a plastic clip that was behind them....I am replacing my fuel tank. I have zero clue what these fuel lines are. Any help is appreciated. I want to make sure the fitting is secured tight. The fitting I'm referring to is the one you see to your right.

Looks like you broke the red clip.
:fingerscrossed:the dealer has one or you can find an aftermarket replacement fuel line.

Is the middle thing that's red part of the red clip on the outside too? Do I need a special tool to remove these then? I'm used to heavy equipment and old school style fuel line connections.

Yeah, that's the pressure line coupling.
Is it damaged on line side?
IIRC the red part comes on fuel pump assembly.
    Are you replacing fuel pump?

I just want to take that piece off to drop the tank, unless I should have disconnected something else.....I'm trying to swap everything over to a new replacement fuel tank.

Perfect timing for a new fuel pump.

I did that job last December to clear an evap leak CEL. Took a bunch of pictures of the process you might helpful: https://www.tacomaworld.com/media/albums/2020-12-gas-tank-decrustification.63925/

I'd recommend replacing as many of those evap lines as you can. Most can be replaced with generic fuel line from the auto parts store.

I have the HF kit as well and have been pleased with it. Some transmission and A/C lines use these same fittings, so handy to have around.

Thanks guys, I'm going to purchase that HF line disconnect kit. Does anyone have a video or something showing specifically how to remove and replace these special fuel line connections that I can reference, too? I found a couple but nothing to really help me

Bumping this thread, I am replacing my gas tank and have no idea how to disconnect this line. I don't want to break it, apparently its on national back order at every toyota dealer. I have a complete fuel line disconnect kit, I just have no idea how to use them.

Thank you! I looked all over but wasn't sure if that was like all the others I've seen on video. All the searches I did, were after people already broke it, lol.

Did you ever figure out a part number for that hose or what ended up happening for you?
