What is wrong with the toyotatacoma reddit?

Left the place today.

I posted my new tire pics today - with a decent writeup of the differences I've noticed between the Duratracs and the new Falken Wildpeak R/T01's I got - and they downvoted me into the negative. The one guy said my truck wasn't "muddy enough" - and didn't understand why I bought an Off Road, and then modified it...so he downvoted me.

I just don't understand why some people are so negative that they will take your post - with information someone definitely will find useful - and click the down arrow on.

 

Reddit is a cesspool of constant complainers. The faster you eject the happier your life will be.

And if Reddit doesn’t like you or your thoughts, they’ll constantly downvote you into oblivion…. From their moms basements.

edit… sure there are some decent subreddits for weirdos like for sharpie markers etc but it’s still a wack place.

I've honestly never understood or even liked Reddit.

Not sure if anyone has seen it, but there is an episode of "The Orville" where they encountered an entire society based on up-votes and down-votes.
Everyone on the planet wore little badges with a red down arrow and a green up arrow.
Anyone who got X amount of down votes was "surgically altered" to conform.

As I've grown older, I seem to grow more weary of people and their actions in general.

 

assholes are everywhere. plenty of people shitposting from their mom's basement on this forum too

Reddit is dumb as hell mostly, but ironically I now want TW to have a downvote feature so I can use it on this thread for complaining about Reddit downvotes.

 

Id say reddit is pretty much on par with the turd gen section on here.

I mean hey, that stuff happens on this site, too. There’s a ton of crossover traffic between this website and Reddit. TacomaWorld is just a safe space that doesn’t have downvotes

But seriously, Truck groups, in general, are just full of some of the biggest snowflakes I’ve ever seen. They get offended at literally everything.

A few weeks ago someone started a thread on this site making fun of someone using an off-road vehicle off-road because they had mounted paint protection panels. Even using your vehicle as specifically intended isn’t good enough for them if you value your paint. Just ridiculous stuff like that.

 

Reddit is a hive mind of 3 or 4 people. They will downvote anything and tell you your wrong for doing it. Tacomaworld is full of assholes, but we dont hate on others choices unless its LED bulbs in halogen housings.

 

That's a shame. Thankfully this place doesn't have a downvote button. I appreciate reading and hearing anyone's thoughts on anything...even if I disagree with them - I still like to read it.

You’ve lost me here. Reddit is a social media site, they aren’t a media organization. On top of that, the Tacoma subreddit isn’t heavily moderated.

 

It's an internet thing. Lot's of miserable people out there trying to share their misery.

It’s absolutely normal for adults to have disagreements and being civil about it.

Some TW members act like kids if you have a different opinion from them and that’s ok. I just ignore them.

Opinions are like assholes, we all got one and it stinks.

 

Look at who owns it directly and indirectly

 

Also the fact that the most frequent users of fora and SM are mental midgets and the actual experts in any field stay tf away from those dumpster fires cause they know it's a waste of time
