All due respect for the awesome Meso products, but I prefer the AJT only for the fact it holds the door key.

    Just sayin’ why.

Don’t sell yours. Market, apparently, is flooded.

Flooded market but guys are still posting them and selling it pretty quickly. If it is just the ones with ”AJT” printed on the back, those probably can just go in the trash, but if it is the “TRD” ones, they are still hard to get and AJT are not making them anymore due to copyright infringement. Also, the Meso one is nice and small, but there are alot of people that care about having the spare key. I am still on the fence whether to get the minimal case or stay with my AJT one. If the fob incorporated a key somehow and it came in MGM, i would have bought it in a heartbeat.

If Meso's had the capability of the key being built in, I would buy it, but that kind of lost my interest. It's still an awesome Meso product, though.

Thanks! I actually designed this around my needs and use, and if anyone else is on board.. great. But I really wanted a more compact solution. There are still many people out there that use the spare key so the stock or AJT is a great solution for retaining that. I just wanted to go in a different direction.

Thats why he built it. was to make it smaller and to do so, needed the key removed. which is why im now going to buy the tailgate lock assembly to lock and unlock with my remote, but until then. the key is just going to chill in my truck out of sight.

this whole time ive been carrying around the big black key for no stupid reason but to get into my tail gate. i bought the pop and lock kit but I'm having second thought about it since i carry my work gear in the back and if i were to ever inadvertently leave my truck unlocked my kit is unprotected. its an extra step but now seems worth it to me.

bummer to hear AJT no longer making 'TRD' fobs. i was gonna get another one because this one is kinda beat. I hear meso makes them now so that's nice.
