Is this an add on? Convenience package or appearance package? Hard to find info,, nice looking wheel though. This is the wheel on the SR I’m looking at..

    Awesome good looking wheel, PT946-35160

For 2016 it was an optional (as in costs money-not free) accessory wheel for the SR trucks for about 460 bones I thought... In the SET market at least. An absolute bargain when you factor in the TPMS...

For 2017 Toyota IMHO realized they made a mistake and offered their best looking wheel on the wrong trim, HAHAHA and chose to make them the "other" aluminum wheel option on the SR5 trucks. Otherwise your SR5 came with the other more popular 16" aluminum wheel.

A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
WRONG -- it was a choice on my 17 SR5 4x4 AC -- I could have had the silver alloys or the dark anthracite -- I ordered the darks. I could not wrap my heart around the dark look -- I switched to the 4runner 17 inch Trail edition wheels. I am now a happy camper!

WRONG !! not a option -- a choice -- very few few dealers knew about this. I learned about it here (this website) just after I had ordered my SR5 -- the dealer got it changed before its build date

Um it says Accessory wheel there bro, you have to purchase accessories. My bad if it was misleading in any way. For 2016 you had to purchase them for the SR, if you wanted it on any other trim you paid whatever the dealer retail was at the time.

For 2017 it was the optional wheel that could be switched yes if the dealer asked. or you knew it was there... AND only on the V6 trucks was it a no cost option. That wheel isn't listed as a no charge choice if you order up 4-cyl.

I am betting you are right as I had decided early on to get a V6 plus as you said -- I had to "educate my dealer

Also -- I have noticed that about half of the SR5's my dealer got in as the last of the 17's have these wheels on them. Factory must have had a surplus of them at the end of the year. The guy that bought my wheels put them on a white Gen2 -- I think they looked better on his white truck versus my blue gen3

    Yeah they look great...

Interesting that most dealers don't use or know their way around the SET build website? They look for inventory by that four digit code for the trucks then ask you what you want.

I was disappointed they didn't keep them as a 460 dollar accessory for the 2017s.

Toyota offers a different wheel for the SRs now but I haven't seen them anywhere on a Tacoma yet...
