Very flexible, large air hose of some kind at the back of the engine compartment. For cabin vent? Just gotta find out what it's called.

It looks ok but there's electrical tape on the narrow portion in the middle you see, some peeling off, and I'd like to replace the part if someone had taped it up for some reason, while I'm ordering other parts. I'm not gonna pull the rest of the tape off yet.

On one end of the hose it says EPDM. On the steel plate on the back of the engine bay it connects to it says 7157-7705 Y1 .

It is not an air hose. It is the wire harness from the ecu to the engine. Don't cut or mess with any of the wires, if you do your truck will not work properly.

Ah ok, so no need to worry about the electrical tape on it since it doesn't need to be sealed perfect and just needs to protect the wires?

You can pull the old tape off and retape it but I wouldn't put a knife near it.

Does anyone know the part number for the black clamp on this wire harness? My old one is busted but has a 28 imprinted on it.

That’s the main artery of your truck. It has all the wiring from the ECU, which is directly behind it.
