    Hi I have a 1999 Tacoma 2.7 4WD.

This Truck has been my daily driver for 12 years. My wife wants me to get rid of it but I love this truck.

Ok, I had a hose like this below that went from the air filter box to a tube on top of the radiator. I am not sure what this hose is for? A Vent hose?

I would like to replace it but not sure what the dimensions are or where I can find it?

I have attached a photo and circle the hose below. Thank you for any help!

Can you take a picture of the other end we cant see in the pic?
It looks like the upper radiator hose.
The other end we cant see should connect to the engine, more than likely to the thermostat housing

It looks like a 10" rubber hose that goes from the air filter box that connects to a small metal tube that sits on top of the radiator.

    Does that help? Thanks

Oh wow, I was looking at the wrong hose in the picture, haha

More than likely a vacuum hose of some sort

hose from air cleaner to EVAP canister, fresh air is drawn in when EVAP system is open to draw vapor and purge into intake stream while engine is running.

If you follow the other hoses off the EVAP you will find one goes directly to the intake manifold.

This is exactly the part I am after for my 99 taco. The metal tube in the middle actually came loose and fell down into the fan which cut a hole in it. I was able to find the tube through some google searching, but I couldn't find the size of the two hoses which had dry rotted over the years and were just dangling. I'm guessing this apparatus is about as essential as the catalytic converter, but I have already ordered the metal piece to fix it. What size hose did you wind up getting? My brother has a bunch of silicone vacuum hose, but if I can get something at the parts store on the cheap I may just do that.
