What is the Tacoma lug nut style called?

Want to use my old 15" wheels and tires on a different hub using an adapter, but all I'm seeing are "acorn" lug nuts, which I know are not what Toyota uses on their trucks. So what's the right search term?

 

Toyota Stock Aluminum Wheels use Short Shank mag wheel Lug Nuts M12x1.5

Steel wheels use a different type I would need to look to be sure.

 

Steel wheels will be the classic Acorn style seat. Same thread pattern and size

 

Hmm, still not finding much. Problem might be I would need 1/2"-20 in that style

 

just look up Toyota tacoma lug nut or M12x1.5 mag lug nuts. they are less common so less out there.

M12x1.5 is the correct size. You said you weren't able to find any. Well, there they are. How much did you expect to pay for new ones?

He's using 5 to 6 lug adapters and I guess the new studs are 1/2 x 20... idk why but yeah

 

I'll just assume the included washers are adequate to protect the wheel then

 

Those should work for your 1/2"x20 studs with our Stock Aluminum wheels.

Just how did you end up with 1/2"x 20 studs ?

 

The hub adapters only come in 1/2-20 looks like

That was a mistake. Since the conversion is now lug-centric, the lugs were slightly too small so I get large vibrations above 35mph.

The shank is 0.05" wider, and quite a bit deeper
