What is the largest tire i can put on a 23 Trail edition 16 Bronze rim?

I am not a fan of the stock 265/70/16 goodyears that come on the truck. I plan on trying to sell them while the mileage is low. looking at either Ridge Grapplers or BFG kO2. I don't care to deal with any rubbing issues.

Also keep in mind, a heavier A/T may affect your ride.

 

This is a good Point. I don’t even need to go a lot bigger maybe I’ll just go up to 265/75/16 which is basically not alot of difference than stock and go with a 116 load ridge grapp instead of the 123 to keep the ride decent. I don’t need the heavier load bearing tire either. Idk I’m new to the taco world. Came from a full size Chevy z71 so it’s definitely a learning curve.

 

If you haven't lifted the truck at all, the 265/75/16 will fill out the wheel wells nicely. You may get some slight rub on the stock mudguards when at full lock, in reverse and going over bumps but nothing on the body.

 

Well it’s the trail edition so technically Toyota claims it’s a 1.1 front. .5 rear lift not sure if that makes up enough difference?

 

265/75/16 (31”x10.5”)
255/85/16 (33x10”)

 

It’s a common misconception that a lift helps clear larger tires. Wheel will still travel the same arch as stock. If you only drive in a straight line sure, lift will help clear 35”s.

265/75/16 sounds like itll fit your needs.

That’s cheating. Must suffer harsh ride and poor MPGs of heavy E load ATs.

 

255/85/16 is the largest. Unfortunately they only come in an M/T, unless someone can correct me.

There is cooper discoverer stt max in that size. It’s a hybrid though.

 

LT235/85R16 would fit nicely.
