What is the FONT used for TACOMA decals on tailgate?

I have been looking around for mention of this on forum searches and have not yet found any relevance

not sure if same Font was used on the rear badges '98-'o4 as used on '95.5-'97

what would the proper Font be?

TACOMA --- arial bold italics ??? ... does not appear to match

focus on the M then may have the answer

 

There is no off the shelf font; IIRC from another thread it's pretty close to Arial Bold.

It's not an exact match but it's close. Toyota (and other manufacturers) use custom fonts so you won't be able to find an exact match.

I'm a graphic designer and it's probably custom, or they likely tweaked the original font so much that it wouldn't match any more. What do you need it for?

 

there are websites out there with practically every font imaginable, I bet it's out there somewhere

 

custom stencil in the Line-X spray-in liner that is pending, ... just trying to make it easier on the stencil person!

 

If you get a picture of the logo perfectly square on, I can trace it and give you a vector file. It's pretty easy to do and would be more accurate than trying to match a font.

i only have 1 not for sale ... but I ran into this issue once at a FEDex shop, wanted a large image scanned in hiRES for my own personal use in photoShop/media player, they refused to service me, even though the logo was defunct (not in use) for decades

 

Corporate policy may be different from local laws; they've probably got some sort of policy around that for liability reasons.
California for example is legal to smoke marijuana but company policy may forbid it, and they have every right to fire someone for testing positive.

 

I always thought it was Comic Sans...

 

They don't know what you're going to do with it. You might *say* you're going to use it for "personal use" but come on, they all say that, lol

 

FWIW Wet Okole seats have the Tacoma logo so maybe ask them if they have a font of if they just traced it
