What is the estimated value of my 1996 Tacoma?

It all depends on what you want to use it for. If you want to use it as a lifted off-road truck, just go ahead and sell it. 5-lugs have virtually zero aftermarket support when it comes to lifts and other options. It’s good as a stock daily driver or a hardware store getter.

KBB is very inaccurate when it comes to value for these trucks in certain areas. Since he’s in California, the KBB value will be incorrect simply because compact trucks have a premium here in the state. KBB doesn’t put location into valuation as much as it should.

15 grand is crazy.. no way even with the low miles. I purchased a 1995 4cl access cab automatic 2wd tacoma about 5 years ago. I feel like i got a good deal because it runs great but i paid $1900. It has way more miles (140,000) than yours. If you want to sell may as well put a high price on it and go down from there. If you want to sell fast put a reasonable price on it. I personally dont think 7 grand would even be reasonable.

Id keep it though. I purchased a 2015 tacoma recently but ill be keeping my 1995 tacoma. Its worth more to me than what i could sell it for

You can't compare 2 wheel drive and 4x4.

2 different markets and 2 wheel drive is a softer market by far

These trucks hold their value like no other.

I bought my 2003 Tacoma (XtraCab /4WD / SR5 / 3RZ / 5spd) almost 10 years ago and it only had 22k miles on it - paid $13,000. It now has 57k miles on it and I bet I could sell it for the same or more to the right buyer.

i refuse to patronage that anymore, it used to be such fun to goto a couple of matinees a week out of town nothing else much to do!
