What holiday has the best appliance or home reno sales? Memorial day? July 4th?

Planning a kitchen gut renovation some time in the next year, dates flexible. Anyone have opinions on the best holiday/date to plan to purchase the large items like appliances? I know we just missed memorial day, but do big box stores have a holiday where the sales are better than usual like the 4th and presidents day etc? Or perhaps year end sales are best? Or they are all relatively similar these days?

Thanks in advance. No particular brand or store loyalty, not our forever kitchen so midrange budget, just need relatively standard stainless appliances, nothing too fancy.
