Wasn’t today, but last weekend I ceramic coated the new truck. I used Adam’s Polish graphene ceramic spray coating advanced. I was a little nervous to use the 7+ year coating they have. Worried I might fuck it up. The spray coating seemed a bit more user friendly. Pretty easy process. I took my time and made sure to thoroughly buff all the product off. The claims about the coating beading water/being hydrophobic are completely true. The water beading on the truck now is pretty crazy. We’ll see if it actually holds up for 18+ months as claimed.

I love that Bronze Oxide on the TRD models. That color and Black are the best looking to me in the new generation.

I’m really torn about taking it off. I feel like the felt behind the air dam has an unfinished look when the dam is removed. And I don’t mind the extra 0.1 mpg lol. But the thing does look like hell. I live in the Buffalo NY area. No way that thing is gonna make it through a winter up here. I’ve seen some guys actually trimming the air dam and putting it back on. I’m considering that option.

    Far to much money spent.
Trimming the air dam is a good option what I did to mine, also you can redo the felt on the sides to fit inside the bolts and under the frame support gives it a much nicer look.

Yeah sides were useless. I just redid the felt in the area to go under and inside the bumper cover. The real problem with the noise was from the 2 large open slots above the so called skid plate.

This just came in today it was really cheap and I really wasn't expecting it to be any good. But I put a small scratch in my console already so I thought I would try this cover. It's actually not as bad as I thought it was going to be fit nice color is pretty close to stock. May need a few days to shape after packaging.20240605_143933.jpg 20240605_143930.jpg

I actually bought a fine grit synthetic clay mitt. But after I washed the truck (using a foam cannon, pressure washer, good quality car soaps and micro fiber towels) the paint was flawless to my eyes. Couldn’t see any swirls at all. It was also super smooth. Really felt like the clay mitt was unnecessary on a truck with like 40 miles on it. So I skipped the clay mitt. And I don’t regret it.

Your truck looks great! I just clayed and put two coats of ceramic wax on my 2024. I didn’t have the dealer detail my truck before taking delivery and it had a coarse layer of something on the paint. It’s super smooth now.

Did your truck come with mud guards/flaps or did you add? Are yours OEM or aftermarket? I can’t seem to find them anywhere.

The truck had a few port add-ons. Mudflaps, black Tacoma lettering for the tail gate, door edge guards, and a 2" ball mount/hitch. The hitch was the only thing I could have done without. I have a weight distribution hitch for towing. Hopefully you find some flaps soon. I've already noticed a very small rock chip on the front face of the rear fender flares. I'm glad they added PPF in that area from the factory.

Took off the garbage stock Off Road suspension... But seriously I am impressed with the stock Bilsteins and kind of felt stupid spending the money to replace them. They will be for sale soon with 500 miles.

    Very nice!

Has anyone noticed early and very aggressive bump stop engagement?
Went over a couple longer style speed bumps and it’ll bottom out pretty easily. Can’t wait for some upgraded bump stops. Feels like the bumps are made from bricks.
