    Looks great. Mine came with the factory rack but I prefer what you did. By the way I could tell from your photos that you were in Calgary before even looking at your info. The trash containers and the look of the neighborhood is typical Calgary. Some towns have a personality of their own.

    I'm trying to see if I can cut down on the dust that makes it into my bed. I 3d printed some little caps for the bed cubby, super glued them on, then put a bead/glob of silicone around them.

    The photo appears to have melted, did it? Did the engine oil get hot enough to melt it, or did something else get close and hot enough? Can you elaborate on how it failed? (What caused the hole?)

    It looked as if it was cracking at my last oil change, so I went ahead and ordered the metal housing. Although it looks melted, that's just the point where it finally failed. I noticed a small oil drip onto my skid plate, and at that point it had cracked. Upon removal the tab cracked the rest of the way.

    Measured right after install, they were 2.5" above stock, probably settle to about 2".

    The best tools grip the housing at the full-base, where strongest (but where the crack occurred anyway). Some use a tool on the sides where the stresses can exceed the design of the plastic.

    I am not sure what you or others used, but if not something like the Motivx tool, it might have been damaged.

    minor, TRD skid plate, front recovery points, Regken mud flaps, rear diff breather, AC drain pipe extended. Upgraded sound with active sub woofer, tonneau cover, CB radio.

    Thanks, Don't really need fairing piece, because of not a lot of use day by day;
    Yes, it's pricey, but I also have purchased different set of hardware and can use it also on
    my wife's Mazda. ;)

    Mine had been over-torqued from the dealership's 2 oil changes included in Toyota Care.

    I do my own oil changes now and find the OEM Aluminum Housing a sturdier choice.

    Ordered from Amazon and installed in Sep 2018 on my 2018 Taco. When I went to my purchases just now to look up/confirm, the page indeed now says, “This does not fit 2018 Tacoma”. Well, somebody needs to tell that to the part that’s been on there for almost 6 years…..
