Are your wheels 4R wheels? If so I remember reading a thread somewhere that the new 4R’s hub has changed slightly. There was a thread. If I find it I’ll post it…

Could you elaborate on this? Or if anybody has more info I would greatly appreciate it. I didn't want to drill holes for the drain lines. My cover should be here this week. Hopefully I'll have everything figured out by the weekend.

So far, so good in both city driving and on unlit roads. I asked the installer "if" I was to tint the windshield how it would affect visibility. From what he showed me, it all depends on the quality of the film. Stepped into the dimly lit garage and gave me two samples, one was pretty clear, the other - Stevie Wonder glasses, so I went with that...on the sides...of course. *EDIT - the clearer one, of course.

Have an update. Took them to the dealership Saturday morning while I was having the fuel pump recall done. And they said no problem. Just charged 259 bucks to put them on. But it’s done.

Here’s a post that explains it very well. The tubing that came with my cover was corrugated instead of smooth but it still worked with no problem.

At the end he mentions how it is not a snug fit but I like that in case I want to lift them out of the way or if I do get any water in my bed it can still drain out around them.

Will be installing the AVS bug deflector 2 and in the channel low profile window vents today whenever I get to it lol.
Had the side bars and soft cover put on 3 weeks ago.

Looks good! I've seen these battery terminals on a few posts - where did you get them?

Any explanation on why the dealer was able to mount them when the tire shop couldn't? Did the dealer do any modifications? Now I'm very curious.

This is awesome! Thanks for all the help.

For anyone who's purchased one, how hot do the metal tailgate plates get? I'm debating between plastic and metal. If I'm out in the sun with a piece of black metal down, is it going to be absolutely roasting?

What are we looking at in terms of cost on that? This overcomes my only dislike of my OEM bed cover -- you lose easy access to a third of your bed near the cab. Not a major issue but it can be a pain if you have a fully loaded bed ...

Not quite today, but over the weekend - swapped out the standard fogs for OEM LED fogs with yellow Lamin-X and installed the Badland Apex 12K winch on a Bulldog Winch Hidden Mounting Plate from eTrailer. Not crazy difficult, but involved enough. Thanks @Mobtown Offroad for your YouTube video on grill, bumper cover & bumper removal - fantastic go-by. The winch tray seems pretty solid. At just 36lbs (per eTrailer) it's the lightest option, if weight is a concern. It is for us, since we have a TT now. *NOTE: After editorial review, my wife pointed out that there is no mention of her being involved in the install...every bolt, nut, clip, curse, hidden mud dropped in my eye, and disappearing washer - she was right there. The best.

Biggest complaint: the tray has frame supports that roll up under the frame. I guess that's good for added support, BUT, because of that, you lose the factory recovery hook - not enough clearance for it to bolt back in. If anyone has a shot of a Demon Bracket install which shows a clear view of the the width of the bracket - thanks in advance. I'd hate to purchase only to find they won't fit. Returns aren't always a guarantee.

TIP: The part of the bumper cover that needs to be cut out (the gray valance) detaches from the cover with easy to remove clips. I re-installed the bumper cover to get an exact distance for the fairlead cutout - really reduced the guesswork. On that note - Also had to relocate the control box - not enough clearance underneath the grill/ bumper cover support beam.

The fairlead mount on this tray is just long enough to clear the plastic cover so the fairlead looks pretty flush from the top. Etrailer supplies you with a sticker template for the cutout which works pretty well. It's designed for the Bulldog fairlead, so not exactly the same shape - you'll have to do some extra trim work:

Overall I really like the look, but a steel bumper might be in the future if I can't get a proper recovery point in there.

Looks great! How hard was the front camera add? Do you have the regular display or the JBL?
