New battery. O'Reilly 27R with 2 year warranty. I replace it every three years. This time was about 3.5 years.

IMG_4403.jpg IMG_4402.jpg IMG_4405.jpg De-badge/re-badge! Only issue is what seems like etching of the paint where the side badges were. Got rid of all the chrome, includiing the Totoya “sombrero” badge and replaced with a killer BH3D “TEQ” badge. Also a TEC decal for the slider, and a Marty McFly TOYOTA decal attached on the inside. A bit hard to see from the outside but I like it reversed and stealthy. Speaking of stealthy, I put in this Bluetooth adapter that plugs right into the back of the OEM stereo! I LOVE that I can keep the original look of the dash, no screens! Sound is completely great for 60 bucks.
    Gen 2 rules!!

Oh yeah, I also got the “OhSnap” magnetic pop socket style phone grip and mount. It’s really great too

I just finished yesterday trying to bulletproof my hvac. The blower motor blew on me. So, I put in a new one. I honesty used a duralast from autozone. Let's see how long it lasts compared to the oem. I put in the updated resistor and pigtail. And I did as @Dm93 suggested, I put in a harness for a relay since I run high a lot. Should have no more issues. BTW, heat shrink butt connectors are boss. It's like you've never cut the wires if crimped and shrunk correctly.

Got the truck back after months of waiting. Just need tires and an alignment. Maybe wheels.

Possibly needing to upgrade to stiffer leaf springs. Adding a rear bumper soon and the current are to soft.

Gave my 06 Tacoma a good wash job today. Took the weed blower to clean out the shell and bed. Also used the same to blow out the dust and dirt in the interior for a road trip.
I think my Tacoma is happier I gave it a little TLC. It really needs a good wax job!

Rear bumpers do not add alot of weight unless you add swingouts and stuff like that. With my tube rear bumper I built I ended up being +10 lbs (hitch is about 50 and bumper is about 30)

Those wheels are pretty great, I’ve never seen them before. Looks like a large version of the old school Toyota steel wheel.

If you’re into sticking with Toyota designs but with bigger sizes, check out AGP. They do clones of the TRD wheels. I’m super happy with them.

    I bought these:

But I kind of wish I would have got these:

That looks great. I wish there were an option from the aftermarket designs to just get the grille centers. It looks way cooler and unique to put those large fogs behind the grille! TBH I am pretty tired of the Raptor/Semi truck look.

Purchased here after seeing a few other Tacoma guys on YouTube talk about it. Still learning how it works. Had the same buddy that installed everything on the truck install it as well but didn’t wire the back up camera.

I did the Archive Garage shock relocation with the suggested Fox 12” shocks. U-Bolt flip kit etc and it was the first thing I noticed on the truck that my leaf springs are looking flat and made me think they won’t be able to hold the weight of the swing out with a 35” tire.

Mine are just powder coated FJ steelies in Toyota cement grey or close to it. Love the look of them too but they’re HEAVY.

Thanks for the suggestions, I’ll take a look at the them.

Looking for a full set of fender flares now to put on and trim them to flow better with the bumper and to get rid of the ugly screws I put on.

They're just FJ steelies with the center cap, also running them on my truck.

That’s cool they brought that look back on the FJ! The look is very similar to the late 70s trucks if I recall right. I’m not a fan of the FJ so I guess I never noticed the wheels.
