Thank you! I already love this truck more than my third gens (even tho they were good trucks, there is something better I can’t put my finger on with this 2nd gen). Thanks for the input! I think I am going to keep my eye out for a set of leaf springs from a 3rd gen and front coils from a TRD OR. The ride was improved by the rear shocks, but definitely could be tightened up more.

Thanks man! And I’m definitely torn - I really like the looks of it as is. And when it comes down to it I would probably rather spend that money towards more suspension upgrades etc. lol

Shifter looks good. How’s it shift?

Tried various shift knobs before and found that some despite looking good, in practice either don’t grab in the hand well and/or not weighted the right amount to work well

Faded "4x4" on the passenger flap has bothered me. Time to freshen the taco up a bit :) new OEM. Parts recently got harder to source online. Interesting. 20240410_170435.jpg 20240507_191514.jpg

It does cover the button and the hinges on the other side, but no problems with obstruction. Its so comfortable on my elbow - I'd highly recommend it

The R4T LCA skid is a straight bolt on for 2nd gen Taco's? their website doesn't list that it'll fit. I assumed it would.

Can anyone confirm if they've ever bought an oem 2nd Gen bumper without the 2 license plate holes pre drilled? I moved up to Oregon and these toyota people are smoking crack I swear. I don't want the holes in my bumper and it could use a fix. Is it just a state dependent thing if ordering from factory? I feel like in AZ it wouldn't come with holes...

Anyway. I got my fresh flaps on today :) 20240508_120528.jpg 20240508_121020.jpg

From the factory there should be 2 dimples in the plastic where you drill or use self tapping screws. Not in the metal.

Holes are drilled by the dealer. As stated every bumper has 2 dimples where the dealer is supposed to install a plate or bracket.

Super easy, just messy to be honest. Plan on rebuilding my old OEM sets with extended boots and hopefully someone would be interested here. :)
