I have to do this soon. I have the TC gear all welded up, just need to have them burned on. Did you do this yourself or have someone else weld them?

I did all the welding myself. I'm not the most experienced with welding but seemed to turn out pretty good. Instead of using the cams to clamp the tabs down when tacking I just used vice grips and made sure everything was straight. Other than that total chaos instructions were very helpful. Welded and aligned the truck before lunchtime lol

How big of a worry is ripping my bumper off while winching? The mounts aren't super heavy duty looking. Wondering if I needa invest in bamfs reinforcements

I would think for recovery you need reinforcement. That’s way they recommend.

ARB comes with it. Don’t know if other brands they throw them in with it or list to get separate.

Tailgate is weak relative to the bed/bumper so if you have to tilt something really heavy out out it’s better to remove the tailgate than bend it.

Long shot question. Back in late 2014 I bought a set of wheels and tires that supposedly came off a 4runner. Didn't question it as they had the correct bore, bolt pattern and Toyota center caps. I have never found exactly what the wheels came off of. Never saw this exact wheel on any other vehicle. upload_2024-4-14_22-34-9.jpgupload_2024-4-14_22-35-6.jpg

That is the closest I ever found but only 5 spokes/lugs. Been trying to figure this out for 10 years. Every time I see a picture of my old truck I try to identify those wheels.upload_2024-4-15_8-0-18.jpg
