Try the Cerakote trim coat first. Your cover and bed looks like the before and after of mine using these wipes.

Scored an almost brand new bed mat for $80

guy purchased it 4months ago. but his truck got totaled, so he had this taking up space in his garage. So far worth the money. No more random stuff sliding around the bed!

Nice, I'm headed out to Utah in a couple weeks and plan to get some cool night shots in a very dark sky area if the weather cooperates.

How does the Tacoma do pulling that trailer, I've pulled smaller ones but I've always been curious how well then Tacoma would pull a smaller travel trailer like yours.

It pulls it really good. I go over the highway 20 pass a lot and it keeps up with traffic up hill. It’s just a big parachute back there with it being the Baja edition so head wind kinda sucks. I’ve pulled it all over Washington state.

For real, the front brakes hadn’t been touched in years. I wasn’t surprised that the calipers and pads were completely F’d up. I was surprised that the bolts broke free without hassle and without snapping. Whole job took a lot less time than I thought it would.

Attempted to install an eastside steering wheel cover and failed :bananadead:. Everything was going ok (I guess) and realized that the thread wasn't going to be long enough to finish that area and realized that I was using double thread instead of single. it took me 45 min to stitch that little section and had to take it all out. Too frustrated today to do it again.

Why would you load the lumber on your truck that way? Why not utilize the bed of the truck?! Hang a red mechanics rag off the end or whatever

Tomorrow is another day. Take the thread out then and give it another go. I’ll more than likely be doing this soon. It’s good to see other guys attempting it first so I know what not to do. :D

I was glad I put anti-seize on the caliper bolts when I replaced the last set in 2017

My Exhausting Labor Day Project: 20230904_185530[1].jpgReplaced the OEM exhaust header with 20230905_142122[1].jpgthe LC Engineering Performance Street Exhaust Header kit for 2TR-FE engines. After soaking with penetrating oil (P'Blaster Penetrating Catalyst) numerous times Labor Day afternoon, and the next morning from 8:30, slowly worked all eight nuts loose, removed the old header, replaced 3 of 8 studs with LCE's upgrade stud kit, and used all 8 new locking nuts, PITA to remove the old studs), got the new ceramic coated header installed and everything buttoned up in time to drive to work at 5:30 (after a quick sandwich for lunch/dinner). The equal length primaries with larger tubes sound great as every cylinder now has equal time and space to exhaust, with a steadier note.
Manufacturer videos look easier when they're using an air ratchet, lift, and newer vehicle... :dancingbacon::cheers:

It would have been funny AF had he done the flags on BOTH ends like that. FYI, just about every lumber yard will staple flags on for you, no rags needed.

Oh man, I hate to break it to you, but what you showed us there are NOT equally long primary tubes. What you installed looks (shiny new ceramic coating aside) almost exactly like your old ones (which also still looked to be in great shape), so this was likely an exercise in futility.

These are the equal length version:

I can attest first hand that those did make a small but noticeable improvement on my cousin’s old 2.7L 4x4 stick shift. He could cruise up hills in 5th that used to require going down a gear before.

After lifting my truck last year I left the sway bar on. I removed it yesterday for the first time and what a difference it makes. I love the way it feels for the most part but it does feel like it could be sketchy on the highway

Driving feels so much smoother and floaty in comparison to before. Not saying it’s a Cadillac but I would feel every bump in the road before and now it feels like the suspension is soaking up more bumps. Seems like since the front can flex more easily now the rear end also articulates more freely too. Feels like my truck is less stiff now
