I tapped into the DRL for the headlight. They will come on with just DRL or with headlights on.

please…:if you can. Describe the difference. I’m very curious what other people experience. What is the big difference for you between the $500 and $3000 set up.

A bilstein 5100 is a stock replacement shock, it doesn’t have anything else going on with it. It’s basically a MONROE or OEM basic stock replacement shock. The 8112 has internal bypasses & 3 pistons in there. It’s sort of a revolutionary coilover. And your price difference is a little off, a single 5100 is about $140 and that doesn’t even have a top hat and coil spring on it. So let’s say my previous setup per front corner cost about $300 and a single 8112 is about $1100. Here is some much better sourced reasons why the 8112 fricks hard. https://www.wheeleveryweekend.com/products/8112-internal-bypass-2005-2021-tacoma-front-pair

I’ve ran my 5100/885 coil plus top hat spacer setup for 5 years an many miles of rough az trails. Rocky, washboard, chunky, etc. the 5100 have accomplished that but not with any particular excellence. They got the job done & im at a point where I’m ready to upgrade. I’m looking for a smooth and controlled experience on those rough terrain.

A simpler answer would be, “I did a test drive after installing one side last night and hit the dips in my area at 50mph and the truck felt so smooth and controlled particularly the rebound back to the static position. I have not wheeled these yet - I’m just a guy who is stoked on finally upgrading.

Got these 2 months ago. and since then haven't had a spare moment until today. Today I turned the knobs. b4 today The ride felt good but not awesome like my swayaways when I put those on in 2008. The place I got my fox from tuned them?? I was thinking something internal like shim stacks and what not? The fox instructions claim both knobs are set to 3 clicks in when shipped. to my surprise knobs where both off, 0 clicks. what a difference it feels so good now Small knob high speed compression at 2 clicks and low at 3 clicks.

In the middle of the third brake light mod. It’s not really a mod. I’m removed the OEM gasket, cleaned the roof of the truck and the third brake light. Installing a new gasket and I’m going to the local hardware store to see what they have for O-ring material so I can make a new lens gasket. I may have to order some stuff from Amazon if I can’t find anything. It's not leaking, just something I wanted to do.

Installed the ole window switcheroni today, my trim piece actually cracked a few weeks ago and I had to order a new one, perfect time to upgrade the switches! Surgery went well and I'm pretty happy with such a small improvement. Can't wait to see them at night, I went with the blue to match some of the font on my touch screen. Hope it's not too blue.
