The thing thieves do in LA is steal the vehicle, go to a freeway, and cut the cat off on the side of the freeway. The police have it all on poor quality video. The group of thieves haven't been caught and aren't identified either.

Beautiful day and I'm good on maintenance so a garage can of red spray paint updated my orange recovery boards.

Cleaned my throttle body and MAF. Fixed a leaky PVC vent hose (should probably get a catch can). Last time I cleaned it was 140k miles ago. Throttle body was disgusting and ultra caked in carbon. Was getting 15 mpg but now averaging 17-18mpg. :bananadance:

Installed new AFE dry air filter in my 2012 2.7 engine. Took it for a short run and throttle response see a lot better. Seems a little more get and go. From a dead stop I took off like I normally do and seems to do a lot better with this filter. Seems to not struggle as much getting up to normal driving speed. Will run a couple tanks thru it and see how my mpg does. Right now I average around 20 mpg. Will post when I see how it does.

I installed an UltraGauge EM Plus v1.4. to help keep an eye on my engine performance; not to mention my heavy foot.

I had previously been using an Ultragauge Blue which is simply a module that plugs into the ODB II port and transmitted engine data via Bluetooth to an app on my phone. But I didn't want to keep my phone tied up all the time with engine monitoring so I bought this dedicated device instead.

The UltraGauge device is hanging on an UltraGauge mount from Spiker Engineering which connects to one of the bolts holding on the driver's-side Oh Shit handle.

I love mine. I have the same set up and its perfect. Make sure you calibrate your distance and MPG. its a bit tedious but makes it much more accurate. Also do your reset on the MPG once in a while. I let mine go for a while and I was showing like 12 MPG. I reset last gas tank and driving home from my trip last week I was amazed it was showing almost 20 MPG. Still got 18.4 showing after driving to work all week. I guess I get better MPG then I was thinking but I also don't have a lot of my summer weight and tent.

Yes. I have a big trip coming up next weekend and I'm going to try and calibrate it then. Wish me luck.

I did the intermittent wiper mod today on my SR. I bought the stalk online from McGeorge Toyota and it arrived within a week. Literally took 20 minutes to install, plug and play as described in the numerous threads discussing it. I wish I would have done it sooner. Luckily my SR already had the cruise control and steering wheel controls from the factory. Good times

Picked up my ECM connector from Toyota and picked up a roll of tape. Hope to have the whole harness done with one roll, if not I have some 3M Super 33+ on hand.
