A bunch of Franklin armory CA350s have gone on discount around here. I really feel tempted to buy one just to get into the platform.

As an old school sig fan, all the new sigs are meh.

From a shooting perspective I find them average. I carried a west German 220 for years, loved it. Then replaced it with a us made 229. Not the same gun and that average quality carried on to their new striker guns.

A 365 is my daily carry now and it's a great carry gun but just an ok shooter.

I used to say the same thing about night vision, but here I am with 2 10k clipons, thermal, and 2 sets of L3 nods... Lol. I bet that safe is climate controlled and bitchin.

I’m a Glock guy, but my old man has always had Sigs since the 1980s.

I kind of like the idea of being able to build a compact CCO type gun just from the trigger assembly/serialized receiver the way I want it. Might be fun.

But my go to is a G19 with a milled slide and RMR.

If you like modular the p320 is a good choice, im not saying its a bad gun at all.

The gun itself is decent, its just not a great gun and I wouldnt personally go out of my way to get one. For me to get one it would have to be a crazy good deal to catch my attention.

I view it as a better shooting glock because of the trigger and grip.

I use one of these (smith and wesson actually) for squirrels. It’s great practice for dealing with holdovers because of the ballistics that result from 2.5”+ height over bore, especially when shooting at high elevation angles into trees. Definitely not the ideal squirrel gun, but sooo much fun.

Normally Id screw in a magnetic handgun holder (I really like those) but Im not doing that in a 7 day old tacoma for now. These cup holder side storage things store my wireless android ottocast dongle and my S&W Shield 9mm very nicely. Also has room for the wife's phone.

I was looking at different flush fitting lights and settled on this one that was delivered yesterday.

Now for a custom Kydex holster.

Went up to the range/store yesterday. It's in the same complex as the now former Windham Weaponry facility. Thankfully, they're not affiliated. They do sell many of their products though, but will now be expanding the product lineup. Anyway, picked up the last of this Carbon Fiber upper/lower model at a very reasonable price. It's so lightweight. I'll be swapping out a few of the parts. Going to keep it simple and just throw on some fixed iron sights.

will that upper fit a standard lower? Need a new short upper and really do not want drop a bunch on another custom one that has to be fiddled with to function.

It's an HK 416 in 22LR. I doubt the upper would fit anything.

true, but some of the better 22lrs on the ar platform use a standard/mil spec lower so I figured I would ask. Would be fun to cut back to 8” and run a can. My 5.5 can be finicky with supers as it slams too hard with a can “back pressure” and then it will fte. I usually end up using the federal gmm red or blue box and it works well most of the time.
