What grease do you use in your UCA's?

I’m using nitro lubricants red lithium grease.

 

I've used Red Line, Lucas, and probably every other one available at Autozone. Could never tell the difference between one or another. Any grease is better than no grease.

 

Been using Lucas Red n Tacky for everything from Bushings, ball joints, U joints, and packing the LCA cams for all my customers and my own vehicles.

 

Oh, and I forgot to add Tri Flow for the uniballs.

 

It worked great, haven't noticed any adverse effects.

 

Can we use moly grease?

 

Yes, if tou ask SPC what to use, they'll say moly Grey grease. I asked Icon what they recomend, they said if you're greasing em, any will do, but they default to the moly Grey grease as well. TC and camburg recommend super lube in their bushings, triflow for uniballs, and moly Grey grease for ball joints.

I guess it depends on which UCA's you have.

 

My spc uppers I use this blue synthetic grease on the ball joint no issues

My total Choas lower arms I use super lube on the bushings and dry PTFE spray on the uniballs.

 

Red n’ Tacky is what I use.

 

Whatever is in the grease gun.

 

Do you have to lift the truck to grease Bushing?

 

I’m not sure which bushing you are referring to nor if you are asking if you need to lift the truck to access the zerk or to grease it properly, but my guess is no.

 

Asking if I need to lift the truck in order to grease the UCA bushings via the zerk fittings. I saw Total chaos recommends loosing the through bolt so not sure if can grease not lifted.

 

I didn’t lift mine when I greased my TC UCAs. I just loosened the through bolt like they recommended. I didn’t take my tires off either.

I use Mobilgrease XHP 462 Moly for all the suspension part. It cost me 3.95$ CAD a tube, a box of 10 last a long time. 3% moly and perform very well with water/salt and harsh mining environment. For the price it's a no brainer.
