How many of you have installed the door sill protectors?

It seems like there are no metal or plastic ones. All the ones I see are the thin adhesive "tape" style that you apply to the door sill. Are these worth doing? Do they hold up?

Any you recommend or any you don't recommend?

I recently installed the OEM Toyota ones for my new Taco and I can recommend them. They are essentially thick vinyl plastic stickers but they will definitely protect the paint from getting scuffed and scratched.

I have the OE Toyota ones and like them, they've held up just fine for 12 years.

OEM sill protectors here also. Happy with them, hold up very well.

OEM sill protectors - port installed so didn't have a choice. however, they are installed on all four door sills and look and seem pretty good.

I ordered my truck with them when it was built. whether the factory plant installed them, or dealer, the toyota ones are decent. I'd recommend them also.

Ditto for the Toyota OEM protectors. If you look long enough and compare prices between dealerships, you can get them pretty cheap...

That was one of the first things I did. I also bought the Tacoma lettering decals for the front sill protector and the Toyota emblem for the rear sill protector. Looks good and holds up fine. If you don't kihe them, take them off.
