Hey guys I can't find any solid info online on what my truck weighs. I have a 2012 TRD double cab, long bed 4x4. I also have a fiberglass a.r.e cap which probably weighs 150 lbs max?
Also what is curb weight and gross weight? How do they differ?
    Thanks for your input.

Source for Vehicle Weight How to Find Vehicle Weight
Driver's side doorsill Open the driver's side door of the vehicle, and look for the weight label or sticker on the sill.
Car manual Locate your car manual, and look up the section on specifications for your vehicle.
Manufacturer Write down the year, make, model, and vehicle identification number for your car, and then call the customer service number in your manual.
Vehicle scale Load your vehicle as usual, and then weigh your car or truck at a nearby vehicle scale.

It's time to renew my plate stickers. I'm in Ontario and the cost was $185. Toyota registered the vehicle for me and must have registered the truck at over 3000KG. I have to go into service Ontario and correct this I guess.

For those who might be unaware, GVWR is the maximum legal weight when loaded with gear and passengers, etc... It's not the actual weight of the vehicle.

The only way to now for sure is to put it on some scales. Truck stops will do it, our county landfill weighs you in and out and charges by the pound. Find out exactly what it weighs, subtract that from GVWR and you have your max payload. It is a lot less than most guys think. Especially if you've done many mods to the truck.

The door sticker doesn't state curb weight only Gross vehicle weight ( load and truck combined )

My POS with me, the wife and a chunky 13yo weigh in @ 4910 with a loaded cross bed tool box to boot. DCSB PreRunner SR5

I have it tagged for 8000lb so I can actually use it as a truck

It is pretty heavy. I would suggest a "team lift".
