I had a Nissan Frontier with slightly less damage that took about $6K.

Totaled, they gave me a little over $15K. Airbags did not go off. The back axle was pushed back ~ 2 inches (AWD). Ten years ago.

So many unknowns to guess, did the airbags go off? Leaking any fluids? Suspension messed up?

    Bout tree fiddy.

Seriously, there are so many variables that any guess that's close is pure luck. Labor rates, materials rate, tax rate, is tax charged on labor or just on parts/materials, part costs, etc. Also, there is undoubtedly damage that is not visible until the truck is disassembled for inspection.

$7500 was initial estimate on my 17 Tacoma with very similar damage. No air bags deployed but repair bill shot up to almost $11000 from all the concealed damage. There is so much plastic in these trucks and it was all cracked or broken when the tear down began. The deer I hit got up and walked away living to do this again someday. It happened 1 mile from my house and I was barely able to drive the truck home. Worst part was my truck sat for 3 months because Toyota kept sending the wrong parts. Body shop told me to take it home until they sent everything it needed after setting there for 2 months. We finally got the right parts after going to a dealership and had them look up all the part numbers and then submit the request through the dealership. I was told to keep all the wrong parts they sent which some of it found new homes on Taco World.

Depends on if whatever flattened that tire also torqued the frame. @Squatting Pigeon 's Tundra with similar visible damage was totaled because if effed the frame.

Yep. Needed a new frame entirely, parts and labor was about a $38k estimate

I don’t know if collision shop itemized list would be accurate.

they rely on supplemental when needed. Which is they take the truck apart, the only way to see more damage, then send supplemental request to insurance.

to the naked eye I can see
    -headlight
    -hood
    -fender
    -core support
    -crash bar
-RF suspension could be messed up; it’s probably old and worn time to replace anyway
    -maybe radiator and condenser

which may be cheap and easy to replace.

I would not want to spend $7500 on a 2nd gen only to end up with it looking stock like nothing and $0 has been done to it.

vs say, putting a steel bumper, JD inner fenders, etc - then it is actually improved and better protected.
    Tundra steering rack. Etc.

if it was me I’d be considering taking the money and fixing it myself.

insurance and auto body is probably mostly labor. You get nothing for labor. There’s no tangible part.
A used good fender is like $50 cheapest.

idk if the frame rail is bent. And where. Might be visible. Some people chop that down to put a higher clearance front bumper anyway.

Taking it to a collision shop out of pocket at some point to be checked for straightness on a frame jig is another thing that can be done. And pulled with chains if needed.

$7500 to end up with a $50 factory bumper with the same lack of protection that allowed this to happen in the first place, but ending up with reduced value of the truck, sounds like a losing game.

I sold a perfectly fine front bumper and stock supporting parts like crash bar used. You know how much I finally was able to get for it? Like $50. Guy bought it to replace his after hitting a tree.

if the stock inner fender is messed up from impact, JD inner fenders could replace that. Something folks end up doing anyway for more clearance. Because if you put bigger tires (common) and wheel, there’s reports of tearing the thin sheet metal, and breaking it from the tire smacking into it.

steel front bumper is better for off roading, deer, and more collision protection.

Heavy front bumper like an ARB for $1500 can save a lot of cost & trouble in small-to-medium impacts.

It probably totaled. If you consider the age and estimated mileage. Based on your location the frame is probably rusted too. Hope the occupants are ok.

This was my Nissan, totaled. The black suv under the blue tarp ran a red light. His wife was in the passenger seat, 5 broken ribs. I was outta commission for months with severe bruises, no broken bones. Yeah accidents suck. Sorry about yours.
