What do you call these truck-bed-hole-whatchamacallits

Wife was inspecting the truck today and looked at me and said hey
where are the holes in the truck-bed-sides so you can put something
in there to do ( whatever ) stuff with.

So yea I'm thinking where are those - the truck liner seems to cover those up...

Are they there ?... I assume they are... hidden... underneath -

 

Truck bed stake pockets. Tacomas do not have them.

they were previously used to add wooden stakes to make boxes in the bed for hauling. Most commonly on farming and industrial applications. Mid sized trucks have phased them out mostly.

 

Truck bed glory holes?

 

Inspecting what truck? That's not a new Tacoma like your profile lists.

Are you saying that the pictures op posted of bed side post holes are not of his truck that doesn't have said holes?

 

Corrrrrrrrrrrrect - they are googled images - no that is NOT my truck.

 

These holes are very useful when adding a rack on the truck. Wish tacomas had them back then, it would have made it easier to fab and install my custom rack but well, I still managed to do it. Just had to find another way

 

Another 2 minutes of my life wasted .

 

Careful man, wife might leave you for another man that has them holes on his truck.

Get a saw and start making them holes asap!
