I've been looking at the Black Friday/Cyber Weekend pricing on some SEMA TRD Pro wheels and am very tempted, but I'm wondering what people did with there OEM wheels after upgrading? I've noticed there are some places online that will buy OEM wheels but I imagine they don't give you a lot for them. It would be wheels only, I'm not replacing the OEM tires just yet as they only have 4,000 miles on them and I'd be taking my life into my hands with the Mrs if I tried that AND the wheels LOL. Just curious what you did with your takeoffs? Thanks! :)

I sold the OEM tires with less than 200 miles on them for $400 and the wheels with about 1500 miles and a set of Cooper Discoverers for $800 both on craigslist. Probably could get $600 for the stock wheels and tires if they're all in good shape.

They are in good shape but I'm re-mounting the OEM tires on the new wheels, it it would be wheels only.

I wouldn't expect to get a lot of money out of a set of OEM sport wheels. I didn't get much for the wheels AND tires with 200 miles on them.
That said, I assume you're in central or south Florida, so that's gonna be as good a place as any to offload them, assuming you don't ask too much.

Yup, St. Lucie County. I'd be happy with getting a couple of hundred towards the new ones plus getting them out of my garage as I'd have no place to store them.

    ^ That's the number I'd look for.
    Craigslist or FB marketplace.

I think it depends on which wheels and on the condition. I listed my black 2020 SR5 wheels and tires (less than 100 miles) for $800 and people lined up. FB Marketplace and Craigslist. Good luck.

I kept my OEM wheels and stored them in the garage.
I am storing ever OEM piece I take off just in case years later I want to sell or trade in the truck. Will put it all back to stock and sell every upgraded piece separately.

My 2nd Gen 17" wheels were eventually sold to a scrap yard for about $0.45/lb.

Tried to sell online. No takers. Then tried to sell to a wheel refurbisher. No interest.

Anyhow, don't expect to get much $$ for the set and plan to have them rolling around for awhile.

Smart man. That way you don't have to be that guy posting "looking for stock intake" or whatever parts they need when the novelty of a modded rig grows old or time to sell/trade comes up.

Back in my modding days I kept everything

Sold mine (TRD OR) on the OfferUp app, and they had probably 70k+ miles on them. Didn't ask a lot, because I saw plenty of others listed there and wanted to move mine quickly because I don't have the room to keep them. Now trying to sell that truck, I wish I would have tried harder to store them so I could part out my SCS wheels that replaced them. Moral of the story is hold onto them because you never know if you are going to sell. Otherwise, don't expect big money for them.

Same here. I'll be holding onto my stock wheels, as well as every OEM part I've taken off. Most aftermarket modifications do very little to increase value compared to removing and selling the parts yourself....especially if you trade it in.

I would sell them on ebay. That's where I go to look for OEM wheels which I buy for my winter tires. Save the boxes that your new wheels come in and use them to ship the old ones.

I think the last set I bought was around $600 including shipping.

I tried selling my stock wheels and tires (less TPMS), on here for months. Gave up and tried market place. Sold them in less than a day for $800. Guy had a bare bones Tacoma with steelies and was stoked to buy them. I think he turned around and sold his steelies recouping some of his money.

Just upgraded my wheels & tires and looking to unload the takeoffs: Stock Sport wheels + original tires (34K, "some" tread life left) + TPMS on all = What would price do y'all recommend asking on FB or CL?

Hard top camper...many more to add+
When I add my new rims and BFG’s ….the stock tires with under 9,000 miles were so worn out….I just kept the rims….in storage for now…
I was surprised the tires did not last…
    Aloha

Wow I wanted a set for my Winter Tires and could not find any in Eastern Washington! Just paid $580.00 for these steel slotted black rims to put them on! Add another $200.00 for the sensors but they threw in free mounting of the Winter Tires I bought at Walmart for $143.00 Each! Guess I should look back east? Hard to find the good deals here I. I am looking for a set of OEM 2021 Challenger GT Rims to put my Summer tires back on to and no luck so far for used. Not paying over $Rims.jpg 350.00 each for them!
