I just bought a white 2021 Toyota Tacoma XP Predator.
MSRP: $37,463
Actual purchase price to include taxes, title, and other misc fees OTD prior to trade in and down payment was $33,788.

On 12/24/2020, got a trd sport 4x4 dcsb auto, metallic grey, tech pack, 10yr power train, 7 year bumper2bumper, 4yr/45k free scheduled maintenance, 1 yr life lock, roadside, blah blah blah... $35,162.86 otd +ttl. 2% here in Alabama.

 

I should clarify, there are Tacomas to be found in SoCal, not a ton of inventory but some. But the truck I am looking for, there are none in SoCal.

 

2021 SR 4x4. Comes standard with remote entry, radar cruise, lane departure, touch screen w/apple car play, power heated mirrors, wifi, SOS, color matched bumper/mirrors/door handles.

Other local dealers had decent deals, but this was much better.

 

You need to convert the currency to compare.

If I go to Toyota.com, search inventory, choose TRD Off Road or Pro, auto, 5ft bed, WHITE, leather (either standard or red stitched), advanced Tech package, LED headlights.

I get 9 results for my area of 93611

I have been to EVERY dealer website with 100 miles and cannot find anything in those parameters.

Is there a way to search all dealers to find inventory rather than one at a time?

 

Purchased yesterday after 9 months of looking. Had to go to NE from CO

If your dealerships are like all the ones around the Seattle area I searched then those are probably vehicles scheduled for delivery that they are listing for sale.

I had 4-5 trucks that fit my needs that appeared to be for sale but they were always “in transit”

That would be my best guess

 

Yea probably vehicles in transit or vehicles that are already sold while in transit. That was happening to me at Toyota Carlsbad.

Yeah, I thought I could have gotten more for it, but to be quite honest, I beat the shit out of it for 15 years, and it was starting to show its age. Ran flawlessly the whole time, which is why I'm going for another one. Pretty excited.

"in transit" marketing most be somewhat common during these low inventory times. I am located in Maryland / DC suburbs and am looking for a 2021 TRD OR DCLB Cement with the premium / tech package to purchase in 2021. The online search is showing three vehicles available, but none of them are located at a specific dealer. When I click on a specific dealer of which there are around eight of them, they all show the same three trucks available. They must be "in transit" to the area. The three range from $45,432, $45,642 to $45,861 MSRP - due to a minor variety in accessory add ons. I wonder how much below the MSRP one can hope for. About a month ago I was looking at the same truck without the premium / tech package and the MSRP was around $39,900. I had three dealers willing to drop $1,400 - $1,900 from the MSRP in November.
