I did that also -- they use Truecar who are extremely invasive and filled up my email inbox with spam from various dealers. I just ignored them all because they were all quoting me similar prices to me just walking in. I ended up going with Costco pricing on a 2021 AG OR, which was $44,703 Total MSRP before rebates or Costco pricing. Here's the breakdown:

    Vehicle Base: $37,280.00
Total Installed Packages & Accessories: $6,248.00
    LED: $485.00
    Premium: $3,815.00
All Weather Floor Liners and Door Sill Protectors: $248.00
    Advanced Tech Pkg: $1,700.00
    Delivery: $1,175.00

I expect to get another $1,000 off it it comes in October (probably more off if it comes in November), and will verify Costco price with Costco before I go writing any checks. Going to put $10K down and pay off early with bonus (hopefully) so I don't care as much about APR.

I used Truecar to get my truck and yeah they throw a bunch of emails at you but that's how that works, I ended up going with one of the dealers that I trusted after looking them and researching them. One word of advice would be to go with a dealer that does fleet purchases because they typically don't work off commission so they aren't trying to sell you they are going to look for you and get you what you want. At least that was my experience, FYI if you are in the SoCal area go through Cabe Toyota.

Unfortunately current demand outweighs supply, prior to COVID, 10% off MSRP was achievable for most, anything above a bit more rare and took some work. Do not expect to get much more off MSRP with these trucks, there's a reason they hold their value and they aren't your domestic where you can expect 20% off MSRP.

Just watching this thread some are stuck paying MSRP some are managing to get 6-8% off MSRP, region will matter, CA, AZ, CO you'll likely be paying close to MSRP. As Im sure you know the dealer will beat anyone else, but I'm betting he knows that the current market is dictating inflated pricing and they of course are going to want to see other quotes to honor the $500 below, maybe start with TruCar, Costco, USAA. Good luck and welcome!

Thanks so much. After continuing to speak with the sales manager he has quoted the MSRP at 42600 and then the invoice price at 39600. Does that seem fair? I’m working a deal in Indiana just fyi
It has a few extras on it that I’m not crazy about but will take

I'm suspect that is indeed "invoice" price (mine was $3k more and paid under your quote), but don't get fixated on that word anyways, its a skewed / moving target. I would clarify what rebates that includes, I think right now 2021 for our region (midwest) has a $500 rebate and then another $1000 if you finance with TFS which is not going to be your best rate even with tier 1+ credit. I'd clarify those first. You're sitting right at 6%, if that's with them including those rebates I'd say you can do better, if its without rebates I'd say that's a decent deal for this climate.

I’m not finding anything below msrp. These prices are insane right now.

is there any word on when they might start to really ramp up production or is the demand just that much higher?

Even if production increases there was/is a bubble of demand which will take some time to deflate / readjust, guessing we won't be back to 10% off MSRP or more till next year.

Hello everyone. I just put down a deposit on my first Tacoma. This thread was invaluable for me in negotiating a deal, and I can't thank you all enough for sharing what you paid. In return, I created an account to share the deal I made.

    1. 2021 TRD OR, Access Cab/Long Bed, Automatic, Cement
    2. MSRP $40,720; Invoice $38,096
    3. Options: Premium OR Package, Technology Package, LED Headlights and Fog Lights
    4. No dealer add ons
    5. Price: $38,596; $500 above invoice
    6. % off MSRP = 5.2%
    7. Incentive TBD
    8. Price OTD TBD
    9. Purchased in Iowa from out of state, no trade in

I am happy with the deal I made. I purchased the Tacoma from the same salesman I bought my Avalon from 10 years ago. After shopping this build around to numerous dealers, this seemed like the best deal I was going to get anytime soon. Can't wait for it to get here!

The dealers in the 5 southern states normally have an inventory of 55,000 Toyotas on hand, their inventory got below 18,000 during the shortage. I have a friend who works for Toyota distribution here in Jacksonville Fl. So they are still trying to fill orders of vehicles with deposits, they haven't touched building inventory back up hardly.

It would be great if we had all of these formatted offers added to a google sheet, to compare all of them in one view.

sadly they will mostly be msrp or slightly lower. 2019s we’re getting better deals than the 2020s so far, but hopefully not for too long.

It makes you wonder if the dealerships and salespeople are making more or less money than they did precovid, if they are selling less trucks.

That is a pretty good deal on a '21 Manual. 7.2% before rebate is below dealer list invoice.

lot of add-ons. Do you want all of them, or would you be thinking to do upgrade in later time?

for my own need, i am trying to get the bare TRD OR 4x4 DCSB AT with Technology package. Then will put the money into upgrade in later time.

But your list seems have loaded a lot and ready to enjoy right off the lot.

Can someone help me out. I'm trying to buy a Tacoma but I want to talk to a sales person that knows what they are talking about. Looking around in Georgia, Florida, or Tennessee. Thanks in advance.

I was quoted $36,868.82 OTD (which includes 6% sales tax) with $500 rebate for this SR5...is this a good price?
