I do like my coopers but they are loud and wander. Something you might not like with mud terrains. especially with a 80 mile commute.

I got a little sharp and put some Falken’s on last fall. They look great and I have no complaints but in retrospect, for daily driver I could get smoother ride and better gas mileage from a set of Continental Terrain Contact AT’s. I run Continentals on my Outback and have always loved them

I love the Michelin AT2 but they don’t have aggressive side lugs. They are great road tires with good OR abilities. They wear very well. Might be be the look you’re after though.

Would that be because of ride quality, mpg and noise?

    this and that...
duratrac, at2/3, st maxx in sl-rating if can; keep the truck nimble and mpg efficient. if youre persistent about running a mud tire for long, daily commutes, then: mtr, trail grapplers, stt pro, open country mt, geolander mt. i mean, might as well go big and heavy. your mileage is effed anyhow now.

Be warned, they do terrible in the mud. They don’t self-clean at all.

Edit: sorry, that’s the ATIIs. Havent heard of ATIIIs

I’ll add to the vote for the Michelin AT2’s. I’m on my second set. My first set wore extremely well, better than any tire I’ve ever had. This second set is just as good. They just don’t look aggressive from the side.

I’ll probably get Toyo’s or Coopers after these guys wear out, for no other reason than I may be doing more off-road.

Keep in mind, as a daily driver you may not want M/T. They look badass but they're overkill if you're not mudding.

+1 on Coopers. I had BFG ATs and switched to Coopers two sets ago. I prefer the Coopers. They redesigned their AT3 line a couple years ago and the difference between even the old and new Coopers is like night and day in terms of noise and grip.

I agree with the above that while M/Ts look cool, but they're not going to be as highway comfortable as A/Ts. But that's up to you and your priorities, obviously. I think the Cooper AT3s are plenty "aggressive" looking.

+1 on the Yoko g003 MTs.

I switched from an E load KO2 and tbh only lost maybe 1 mpg (I also went up one size from 33" to 34" so take that into consideration). For a MT they are very light compared to other MT tires

I was between the Yokos and Ridge grapplers but the yokos were actually a bit lighter and cheaper

Subbed. I've been looking as well. So far for my use I've been looking at NITO Terra Grapplers but still need to run my stocks down another 10K or so

If you are putting 80 miles a day on them, the only tire I would look at would be the Michelin AT2s. The only one. They will ride better than anything mentioned already and they will last pretty much twice as long. If you are logging 20K plus a year, those Yokos, Coopers, Falkens might get you two years if you are lucky. The Michelins will get you 4.
