I been using Viper car alarms for many yrs, seem one of the best, having the blinking blue light going is enough to deter some, others need the early warning chirping to scare em off, we have had break-ins here several times and once we started using viper alarms no successful break-ins. Factory alarms are pretty useless unless you get the added impact sensor. Alarms are a pain, no way around it, now and then motorcycles set mine off, loud vehicles, but it is what it is you deal with it. Security motion light sensors are a good second line of defense in driveway. Smash and grab thieves generally target vehicles parked on the street.

Nice pairing! We’re nearly the same; have a 2008 911 turbo cab and a 2019 Tacoma sport, both manuals

Viper DS4 with the alarm option and SmartStart GPS. It has the blinking blue light which is a deterrent in itself. I can also use the Directed App to lock/unlock remote start, yes it dies when you open a door :(. GPS tells me where the truck is at all times. Which is in my garage unless my dad decides to use it to run to Home Depot.

The Viper systems now are very install friendly. Almost no drilling . Led integrated into sensor is attached on windshield .
I've opted for an additional brighter strobe blue led up near the mirror. The led that came with it wasn't attention getting enough.

The DS4 if you want remote start is literally one wire soldered to the push to start harness and the siren wires soldered to the alarm brain, a T harness and screwing in the alarm siren under the hood. Zero drilling, two screw holes and a hole that’s already been in the factory grommet since a month after I got my truck.

I have the viper ds4 with smart start. I can control everything from my phone and get notified if anything happens and have my locations at all times. I have an extra ds4/ds4+ remote system if anyone is interested pm me. I’m including the 2-way remote (not lcd screen) along with the spare 1-way remote. It’s normally 270-299. I’ll take 150 obo. Brand new never used.

    Lots, straight from the factory.
State Farm $0.00 deductible on comprehensive is my alarm system on my vehicles. Costs $4 a month more than a higher deductible.

Home alarm system is SIG Sauer.
