I am getting a new truck and was hoping to be pointed towards some must have accessories and upgrades. Is there anything available through the dealership or aftermarket that you suggest?

Some good mats. Maybe WeatherTech, maybe Husky, maybe any number of nearly identical but cheaper options. The peace of mind that getting in your truck with wet or dirty isn't damaging anything is nice. As is the peace of mind when your mother in law decides your toddler needs an ice cream cone for the ride home...the mats are handy.

Otherwise...I guess it would depend on what you want to use the truck for. The bed mat (Toyota, aftermarket, or DIY) is another popular add-on. Stuff really slides around in the composite bed if you don't have a mat.

Only legitimate must have item IMO is the ImMrYo rear mirror relocation bracket.

Thanks for the tip. I assume this is to raise the rear-view mirror right?

Bed Mat....doesn't have to be OEM or fancy. Just make sure its at least 1/4" thick rubber - so its heavy enough to stay in the bed and not bunch up or blow out.

If you carry dirt in with you.... Floor mats. I've always used Husky.

If you get dirty..... seat covers. Too many to recommend - but I have clothe covers from Ruff Tuff.

Extra D rings (in floor of the bed) - I can't remember where I got mine, but I think they were from a military surplus website.

If you CC or have valuables - Console Vault.

If you do your own maintenance.... Hood struts & Fumoto Oil drain valve

Yep. Of all the mods that I've done, it is the first thing I would order if I got a new truck tomorrow. Everything else is great, but I consider his bracket to be absolutely mandatory, and how it should have been from the factory. It isn't so much a mod as it is a correction.

    I'm 6'7".

It works equally well for 5'6"ers.

Literally hundreds of people who would say the same thing I have about it. It is the best mod I have done, and it was my first.

How does a bed mat make one money?

    ---------------

If you plan on doing any interior mods, especially custom leather seats, get some good quality UV protected tint on your windows. I personally feel people need to do it for a preventative measure for skin cancer if they spend a lot of time in their vehicle but it will save your interior from heat and UV damage.

You can rotate Ur rear view mirror 180 degrees, thoughtfully, to see if you want a mirror lift bracket.

I don't understand why I have nine cupholders, but only two power outlets and zero USB charging ports.

    Floot mats,

From there it depends on how you are going to use truck.

Just the essentials and no extra fluff.
The relocation bracket is not to make it easier to see out the back. It is to make it easier to see out the front. It moves the mirror up so it isn't in the middle of the windshield. Best modification I have done.
