Few months ago I noticed my floorboard was soaking wet so I immediately thought my heater core was leaking since my heat sucked anyway. Got it changed out and then noticed the floor board was still getting a little wet. So then I figured it was a bad door seal because of the way my truck sits on a hill I thought water was leaking in and settling in the passenger floor board. So I turned my truck around to have the passenger side facing down hill to let any potential fluid leak out of it instead of sitting in the floor board. After letting it sit the floor will dry but once I drive it and it sits on level ground the floor board then gets pretty wet again? Does anybody have any clue what the heck is going on? I’m just worried at this point about my floorboard rusting out at some point. It’s been going on for months so idk if it’s rainwater getting in somewhere or maybe the wiper fluid leaking? The radiator fluid is fine and the carpet doesn’t smell sweet at all

Big rains recently? The top of the windshield gasket can leak. Check to see it is laying flat
    Is one suggestion

    Another possibility
Make sure the A/C evap box drain is properly seated into the gromet & tube that go through the firewall to the drip tube. Passenger side.

From engine bay you will see a metal tube pointing down to the frame rail.

    Look around there inside.

If you have A/C of course.

    Running the AC or defrost?

The evap box is along the firewall just above the passenger side foot well.

It's probably clogged and filled with water... that sloshes out when you're driving.

Find the drain nipple on the firewall in the engine bay, take a coat hanger or something of the likes, and give it the business.

This is the drain on the engine side (mine is missing the 90* aluminum elbow):

It may be the seam where the firewall and inner fender meets. Thats a common spot for out trucks to leak.

if it is not the AC drain or the firewall/inner fenders seam, it could be a leaky windshield. The result is water seemingly appearing from nowhere soaking your carpet

A leaky windshield means that the urethane glue used to glue the windshield to the cab is dried up. The external black molding/seal/gasket (whatever it is called) purpose is to protect the glue seam and cut down windnoise but this one can get dried up or get cracked as well. It cannot be replaced on its own and you have to remove the windshield to replace it

anyway, here's a quick way to find windshield leaks
