Hello , i have a 2021 tacoma V6 , bought it brand new , i put 16,000 miles on it . But i notice since 1000 miles that , sometimes going uphill or when accelerating , when the truck it about to upshift i hear a grrr or ticking or clicking noise coming from the engine and at the same time my pedal vibrates a little , its only for 1 second or 2 and then stops when it finds a gear, specially when the truck its hunting for gears , does anyone feel something similar ? Its that a Tacoma thing ?

Nothing like that in my 2016. With it being so new, I’d report to dealer. Even if they can’t find it, a paper trail is often useful for warranty claims.

    From the users manual:

You can test this by throwing in a higher octane gas and seeing if the sound goes away or becomes less prominent.

What octane fuel are you using? If 87 or 89 try some 93 as thats what I have always used and I think the truck runs better on it. Some will say otherwise but its all up to you.

That is the way I feel. I run Shell 93. Most here think it is a waste of money. If you can afford it, try it for 2 tank fulls.

oh, it certainly works. just have to balance the cost vs benefits. I see. 1-2 mpg increase over 87 as well
